On a smooth clean steel surface these magnets can be considered permanent mounting points. Very strong attachment that requires tools to remove.

These magnets are not toys. I ordered an 8 pack of the 200lb strength. Didn't think they were that strong because they pulled off of my refrigerator and the roof of my car with much less than 200lbs of force. Then I stuck one to a quarter inch thick steel plate and I couldn't get it off. Had to slide it to the edge, which was extremely difficult. Once half of the magnet was hanging off the edge, I was able to rip it off with a pair of pliers. Don't get your fingers stuck behind them and don't put them on thick steel unless you want them to stay there.

I bought these because the previous magnets purchased were weaker than advertised. These Neodymium Round Magnets are much stronger and can hold more weight. The addition of a bolt with washer and nut makes them useful for many things around my home. Suggested.

Very strong magnet used it for my cell phone booster for work. Wind don't even tip it over. Even hard to remove it by hand.
