So I am using these slightly different than intended. I removed the magnet surface from the clamp and used the 17mm ball socket to mount to a matching ball that I have in my jeep that mounts to the entry-assist handle as part of an aftermarket door-off kit.However, before I ditched the clamp, I did inspect it and it was made well enough for anything outside of abuse or "heavy use." The magnet is plenty strong and does a great job holding my wife's and my phones. It's a very simply contraption, but honestly, it doesn't need to be complex.No complaints so far!

This is a great tool! But I didn't order this to use as a monitor for my Insta360 X3 or my Osmo Pocket 3. Sure, I have used it for that on these cameras but I was thinking out of the box when I ordered it I had two very specific uses in mind.I film a lot of lapse videos, Time Lapse, Star Lapse, you get the idea. If there is a Lapse I most likely film it and that means power banks. I took one of the larger power banks, slapped one of the mag rings that came with this rig, put it all on a tripod, fired up the camera, and walked away with a 7-hour Sky lapse being filmed, The mag mount is so much simpler that gaff tape, rubber bands, hook and loop yada yada.For that is it perfect and with a 360 camera I can tuck the power bank and cable right into the stitch line and it is never seen. Yeah Buddy it works great.The other reason, I do a lot of talking head shots, and sometimes I just have to have reminders to stay on topic and for that, I like my Teleprompter app on my iPhone and iPad. Tuck it right below that camera on the tripod adjust the angle just a bit and I have a teleprompter running right below my camera you can never tell that I am reading script or reviewing notes as I am talking to camera.So if you are thinking about this rig, get out of the idea that it is just a monitor or controller for your cams, This little rig offers a lot more than what they advertise.DKH

The build feels strong and not like cheap plastic, but the most important thing is the magnets, they are strong and it perfectly holds my 11" Lenovo with and without the case and obviously my S24 Ultra is lightwork after that.

I got this phone mount because of the tripod mount. It is made from metal, very strong. Description says it is aluminum alloy, but feels a little heavy to me if that is the case. But still, I it is very solid build.The tripod mount has a standard 1/4" screw mount, with a standard ball joint. The standard is what I like. I can use this mount with my tripod, selfie stick, or maybe even flash light mount. The ball join can work with other standard mount too, flexible is the best part I like.This mount comes with metal rings in case if your phone does not support MagSafe. You can attach the metal ring and change to one. And in respond to some others' comments about the magnet is weak. There is always an argument about whether metal ring should be on the case outside or can it be in the inside. My comment is, 90% of the chargers nowadays, they won't stick if the metal ring is in the inside. And it would be the same for this mount. Unless your charger has a super strong magnet, which I only saw one which is close to, but still not quite good. So to be fair, this mount behave the same as most magnetic mounts on the market.Regarding the dashboard mount of this product, it appears to be a cheap plastic attachment. Since this is not the reason I got this product, it won't affect too much on the rating I give to this product. The only thing I would say about this dash mount is, it will work just like any other dash mount. But I suspect it won't last for many years just like the others. Because it is made of plastic.Overall, I am happy with this phone mount and the accessories. I would give it 4.7 stars.

This review is for the Magnetic Phone Holder for Insta360 Invisible Selfie Sticks, for OSMO Pocket 3, with Rod Clamp for Microphone Stand/Tripods/Boat Railing, Fits for 17mm-25mm Tubes... Offered by the Brand: Rigdance. So this functions as a mount for your phone, so you can keep it attached to the selfie stick as you film. Great idea, now I don't have to hold my phone to see what I'm shooting. The clamp stays secure, but the magnet is a little weak. I don't have the confidence that it will stay attached to the magnet. So I only use it for low movement activity. If they make the magnet stronger, It will get five stars.

Always working on making the best set up to take review pics and this is a winner. I have it attached to a cold shoe mount on a handgrip/tripod. It allows me to quickly slap on my phone and take pics. The ball joint allows for finer adjustments when using my tripod. The magnets work best on on either a phone that supports MagSafe or a MagSafe case/adapter that uses magnets. I take most of my pics with a Pixel 6 with a magnetic MagSafe adapter stuck on the back. It does come with a metal ring, but metal is not as secure if you are walking around filming. When I take off my phone I can use the strong magnets to store my setup my hanging it on to my metal shelf. When needed it's quickly available. I recommend as it works well.

This iPhone tripod adapter works well for me. I have an iPhone 12 and a Spigen magnetic case, and the magnetic mount is solid. My phone is not going to fall off. I screwed it into a selfie stick with no issues. Once mounted, you can easily rotate your phone to go from vertical to horizontal and back and it stays put. The ball and socket style makes it really easy to adjust the angle of the phone too by loosening and then tightening the screw at the back. The main parts have got some heft to them, so it's not going to snap like plastic. The only caution is the screw that holds the ball and socket together (not sure that else to call it) is a little lightweight.To be honest, I didn't even realize it could be used as a car mount, so I was confused with all of the pieces in the small box. I got two metal rings and an extra dashboard adhesive, so I got bonus parts compared to what is in the image of "What you get." Overall, it is exactly what I hoped it would be.

This Magsafe compatible mount is an interesting one. You get hardware for car mounting and you also get something for 1/4" screw mount. The shape of the 1/4" screw mount is a 90 degree bend and is clearly more optimized for mounting on a taller stand like a monopod or light stand type, but thanks to the wide angle the ball head can move in, even mounted as a table-top tripod you should still be able to gain all the angles you want to get looking at it standing or sitting. The only drawback is that if your tabletop tripod is too small, well due to the bend the weight is put forward and is more likely to topple over.As for the car mount, because it is adhesive mounted and I'm happy with my vent mount setup, I did not use it. But it is nice to have it if needed.The magnetic mount itself works great, mostly. The adherance is strong and there is no issue with the phone falling off from small bumps in the road. Holding it in my hand and shaking it somewhat vigorously also doesn't shake it off, and that is a good thing. The only issue is that it is slightly wider than it needs to be... depending on the shape of your phone case, it can get in the way of a perfect fit with the raised camera bump protection. Since I happen to use a double-sided Magsafe ring on my phone, this lets me mount it super securely but without it I have to admit that it does not line up perfectly, which means it can have trouble holding your phone securely. Once again, this largely depends on your phone model and case, and if your phone is naked then this is a non issue.And of course, these types of magnetic mounts work best with MagSafe magnets or rings. Plain metal plates will not work well with it. Thankfully some are included in the box and as long as you are using those you're good to go. If you don't run into the aforementioned compatibility issue that is.

This works decently now that I’ve gotten used to it, but if shopping again, I’d look for other options.It’s tricky to get the desired height and angle. I kept wanting to tilt the portion that holds the phone (in order to correct the angle) but that part doesn’t tilt (only swivels). Instead, the legs must be adjusted in order to change the angle—and for that purpose, they are a bit too mobile to do so in a controlled way. Even after a few weeks, I find this stand awkward to use.The magnet also seems weak. It does hold the phone securely enough to interact with the screen, but if the phone gets bumped at all, it can easily be knocked off. The weak-ish magnet does make it easy to remove the phone with one hand, though. But I’m more concerned about: 1. my automatic attempts to adjust the phone’s angle (which as I described above, can’t be done easily), and 2. bumping the phone while moving things around on my small workspace.The stand did come with some magnetic rings, but they don’t provide a stronger hold; they actually make the attachment weaker. They are labeled: “Keep with mobile magnetic card holder.” That sounds like they’re meant to put in/on a MagSafe wallet to help it stick to the stand without detaching the wallet from the phone—but I’m not completely sure.I am using this tripod at my desk to hold the phone nearby while I use the computer. I try to avoid moving or adjusting it, so it works out okay. If I were setting up and taking down this tripod for use in different environments, I think I’d be very frustrated by it.

Put this on a magic arm and clamp next to my ipad mount in my work truck. Makes mounting and getting my phone instant. Holds strong, metal is tough and durable and its a fantastic value. I love this mount.
