Best ever coverThis cover fit right over my fireplace to keep the cold out the magnets helped immensely to put it on. You have to make sure you measure to get the right size to fit all around and if you don’t have metal around outside of fireplace for magnets you get fasteners to fasten the cover on.

Quite a good value for the price. Our fireplace just happens to be sized quite closely so the cover fits very well, no need to use the included mushroom clips to adjust the size. Magnets are strong enough to prevent the cover from sagging. The day after installing, I pressed along the cover perimeter to smooth out some bunching, as cover is shipped folded inside a small box.Since this fireplace is longer being used, the cover is staying on permanently. So for extra draft stoppage, I added some flat door-crack weatherstripping (self-adhesive), also bought from Amazon, along the seams of the folding fireplace glass door, as that where most of the leaks are. If you're planning to remove the cover, keep in mind that after installation, there may be enough air pressure to push out some of the cover along the edges where there are no magnets, which will reduce the cover's effectiveness quite a bit. With that added weatherstripping the cover is 99% airtight.Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, and the temperature in the family room is a couple of degrees F warmer now when it's very cold outside.

Just recieved. Works great and looks great. Perfect fit. Magnets seem pretty strong. Only slight complaint (and not sure as I haven’t had it long enough) is it seems very thin.

Nice idea, but it is too flimsy, magnets not strong enough to hold fabric unless all are in metal contact. Wife uses the dogs 2.5" thick pad to block air flow from the fireplace. Together they do block some of the airflow.

I was skeptical but this stopped a massive draft from my fireplace. Also looks great. Easy on and easy off, but the magenets are strong!

This item was extremely easy to install: just unfold and press the magnets to the metal edges of the gas fireplace insert. Visually, the blanket isn't very noticeable except at close distance. Because the metal facade of the fireplace protrudes quite a bit, the blanket can't cover the narrow space between the fireplace insert and the surrounding wall, so it does not completely block strong drafts, but airflow is noticeably diminished and the preferred room temperature is significantly easier to maintain.The next utility bill showed the result: we saved a little over $60 compared to the same billing period last year, and utility company data shows the billing period this year was 3°F colder than last year. This item more than paid for itself in just the first month of use.

I gave this to my son as a gift. I was happy to see that it fit well and effectively sealed off the draft from the fireplace when it was not in use. I would like to see more safety features. Would it be so hard to make it from fire resistant materials.

Was trying to solve a problem and stumbled on this solution. Didn't even know these existed! My home averages 2 degrees warmer now and the family room drafts are gone. Such an easy and inexpensive solution.

Very happy with this cover. It has magnets all around vs some others where they’re not on the sides. It’s also easily adjustable with the “mushroom” pins. I used a black sharpie to color them so they blended in more with the cover. Highly recommend this cover!
