It is thick and great quality and will work great to keep the draft from coming through the chimney. I just do not like the little pieces that hold it on. Why are they pink. That stands out and does not blend in at all.

I have a fireplace that I can't use (has a hole in the chute and is a fire hazard until replaced), and was wanting something to cover it up and keep the warm air from bleeding out. This seems to do the job quite well. My only complaint would be (and this is very minor) that the magnets aren't overly powerful. I often look over and see the weight of the sheet has pulled the entire thing down an inch, and I need to go over and push it back up before it falls off. Either beefier magnets or just more of them in the lining would solve this little annoyance. Otherwise, happy with it.

I'm so disappointed with this one, but it's mostly my fault. The magnetic area of my fireplace is 37" wide by 32" tall. I had no intention of using the giant pink pins (why are they pink for a black cover?!) so I ordered the 36" x 27" and figured it wouldn't go all the way to the bottom. That would have been fine except the magnets are spaced 1"-1.5" from the edge, and they're not sewn evenly so I can't get both the top and bottom magnets connected around the fireplace. I needed to have ordered the larger size and pinned it to be smaller. That said, the magnets are not very strong. They barely support the weight of the material, which is not all that heavy. I like the concept but this item is just so-so quality.
