I must admit to being prepared to be a bit disappointed. I bought a high quality indicator but elected to save a bit on the base. This base was very well priced, so I was prepared for the worse. But it is truly very nice. Really well built, strong and has some great features that enhance the use of the Mitutoyo indicator that I use. I liked it instantly. Try it for yourself.

Have one like it, both are awesome.This one has a fairly large cavity for indicators, and no sleeve for different size indicator screws, but is exactly as expected otherwise

I am a cnc machinist. I use this every day, and this works great. I was a little leary at the quality and if it'd be up to being used every day. Well so far it's been great! I see it lasting quite a while, but I'm also one that takes great care of my tools. This is perfect for everyone, from hobby machining to full time cnc machinists.
