I bought this item to create a mesh net to put over my 50 gallon axolotl tank. I was expecting it to be much dirtier and much easier to put together. I did not find it user-friendly at all and the instructions were extremely confusing. It just sends you big long ropes of magnets and sliding tiles that I could not figure out for the life with me. I spent money on this and I’m still not even able to use it lol I don’t think I would recommend this.

Works perfectly for the 75 gallon aquarium. Secures to the rim for peace of mind that the fish can't jump out. Easy to assemble. Plenty of extra material for good fit. Good price for the money.

I purchase this for my 10 gallon fish tank to keep my fish and shrimp from escaping. It was easy to do but it does work well if you have a water filter, heater cord, air cord going into the tank. The magnetic strip works great and the netting is very durable.PROS: Easy to put together, strong magnetic strip, and easy to use.CONS: Does accommodate for things going into or hang on the tank and doesn’t help slow down the evaporation of the tank water.

The magnets are easy to apply and are pretty strong, but there are some issues I've come across with them and the netting.Over time, the net has shrank? I'm not sure if it has anything to do with water hitting it or what, but I may have to replace it soon if it gets worse. My oscar likes to jump out of the tank, which is why I bought this in the first place. The other issue is that the magnet strips I applied to the top like to slide out of place sometimes. Not a huge problem, but pretty annoying.

I actually like this net- it does have a weird smell out of the box but it wasn't anything a rinse/washing wouldn't fix. I don't know why but I assumed the netting would be metal-its regular mesh cloth. I highly suggest doing the tank part -making sure every surface is bone dry- then aligning the magnets on top of the tank ones, peeling off the sticky back, and stretching the mesh over it. I hadn't and had cut and aligned them separately which doesn't account for stretching- and promptly made two sides unsticky after dropping them in the tank🙃. (Fish and shrimp-and unfortunately the snails- are all fine a week later!) But by going slow it's a simple product to use and has already stopped my kuhli loaches from getting too into the air stone bubbles and ending up on the table!

This is amazing as all the other good reviews say. Yes it's a bit tricky to get it nice and tight and aligned, but not impossible or a 1h job. It helps to have a second person help you.Mesh is good and sturdy. Strong magnet. We had the light stick out on the side so we just used the finished size of the mesh there as in the last picture.I can sleep knowing my cats won't get my "Nemo" or he won't jump out either!

This is a great find . It's easy to install, instruction are clear. And there is a lot of net to experiment or replace it after a while.

This turned out a lot less ugly than I thought it would be. It's not beautiful, but if I'd paid $20 for the finished product, I'd have been pleasantly surprised. It was a fun silly little fish project. I needed a hood, but I don't like the look of them and I have an overhead light that I didn't want to replace. This is NOT suited for other animals. If I'd used this for my baby corn snake's tank, she'd escape right away. Fish only. This is not a cheaper substitute for a proper reptile tank lid and would be very unsafe. It wasn't hard to put together - the instructions aren't entirely useless, but I think clearer photos/no text would be an improvement. It's the kind of instruction sheet you either puzzle over for an hour or say "huh, okay" and forget about. I took the latter route, it's pretty straightforward. I cut all the pieces out, stuck the magnetic strips down on the tank edge, stuck the grooved strip on top, and put the corner brackets on the top strip before holding the netting tightly and smushing it all together. I cut a slit in one corner for the heater cord, and a slit along the back edge for the filter when I was done, and the netting didn't sag and fall in like I'd worried it would. The option for putting the magnetic strip around the side is a nice idea, but sounds like it would be a pain to get in and out the tank for water changes, moving things, etc., and the way they suggest to make a little door just looks a bit flimsy and off. I wouldn't recommend this for a rimless tank. The holes in the net are small enough (about 4mm - maybe the O on your keyboard?) to keep my adventurous guppies inside their liquid where they belong, but they're big enough that I don't need to lift the lid to feed them. They won't get stuck when they jump. The netting is pretty strong, it's not flimsy. It's a nice material.I was also surprised by just how much there was. I have a 20 gallon long tank, and I'd looked at the measurements listed and thought "eh, sure, that sounds like enough!" and I easily have enough to do another tank.I used a boxcutter to cut the edges as close as I could, but the very edge of the netting is visible, and it's obvious that it's multiple strips stuck onto a magnet. That's my only complaint. It'd be nice if there was some kind of finishing strip to hide the edges, but I paid like $15 for this on Prime day, so I'm keeping it and it gets 4 stars.

It was easy to assemble, and even though I don't have a corner fully secured because of my filter there, it's holding very well. And lifting it up to feed the fish is simple and the net is being held very well.

This fits my 12 gallon long aquarium (36 by 12 I believe)!it was relatively easy to set up and my rimless tank feels more secure than the last bulky lid. That being said it feels like the magnet on the bottom is going to separate from the rim eventually…which is kind of annoying but should be easy enough to fix again.I think the lesson here is hooded tanks are the less hassle option lol

The idea is good, the magnet is good, but because of the plastic part, it is unusable, the plastic cannot be the soft type, very difficult to assemble, after a struggle and assembling it, the frame is arched and flimsy, I wasted this money
