Impressed by the glass quality and thickness. Unfortunately doesn't fit to my aquarium. Each glass width is 22.125" while I need 22.5 - 22.75 "

This top fits perfectly on the 75 gallon Aqueon tank with the center brace. It is 2 lids; one fits on each side. The plastic back needs to be attached. It’s tricky. Sliding it on from one end makes the job way harder as I learned on the first lid. Much easier and faster to line up the ends & wiggle it on that way.

You have a little space at the back of the tank the glass doesn’t reach. The purpose is to allow you to cut the plastic strip to fit around your accessories, like hoses, heaters, etc. it’s a little bit of a pain doing that part, but if you have fish that jump out, like bichirs, you really need that part. All around it’s a good quality lid.

Prefect fit for my AQUEON 90 gal aquarium, the aquarium has a lip and built in support beam in the middle and this works with manufactures set up.

As others have said, this does NOT fit a standard 48” tank, only Aqueon.

As you can see in my photo this is not 24 in my aquarium inside edge to inside edge is 23 and 3/4 when I ordered the best I understood it was a two-piece totaling 48x18 meant for a 48 wide tank with a plastic brace in the middle I thought hey so I'll have an extra one for when it gets all covered in calcium and lemon buildup because we have very hard water here well it does not measure 24however the actual quality of the glass and hardware pieces and packaging were all excellent all I'm saying is don't go by the measurements given this is obviously specifically for tank buy at your own risk

The handle will come unstuck after a few months. Easy fix just remove tape and reapply with silicone.The back part doesnt go on tight and falls off easily. I'll take that over marineland anyday though because they are nearly impossible to install.Be carefum not to chip the corners. I wish they were sort of.rounded off. Ive had a couple of corners chip. Especially when I take it off to clean it. If you stand it on its side and place it in a sink, the rounded sink bowl is are going chip the glass so be careful.

The 48" set fits my old 1990's 90-gallon Oceanic tank perfectly. I measured my openings as 16.5" deep by 22.25" wide (16 1⁄2 by 22 1⁄4 inches) each. This lid set fit perfectly without scraping the side edges, hanging over, or dropping into the tank water. The handles arrived unbroken and attached easily. So far they're sticking. The pictures are without the plastic backing on the tank yet because I have to cut it to fit around the intakes and outputs of some cannister filters and UV filter cord/air bubble lines. I laid them over the back and they look like they will fit on perfectly. I included photos of the plastic back edges - it is made to clearly identify "up" and "down" and sit on top of the back inner rim. I'm so happy with this. Aqueon lids fit Oceanic tanks =) I had a lot of trouble finding this information so I measured closely, read many reviews of this and other lids, and took a gamble based on people's exact measurements of the lid. Thank you OTHER reviewers for providing EXACT measurements!

Fits my 90-gallon tank as if it were custom made. Made of high quality glass. Not cheap thin stuff. The hinge is wonderful. It is super flexible and the top stays open allowing feeding and maintenance without having to hold the glass up with one hand. This is a real benefit that another manufacturer has not learned because their glass top has rigid hinges that won't stay open unless held with one hand which is very irritating. This top is made the way aquarium equipment used to be made. High quality. The shipping packaging was superb. Aqueon has shown itself to be a manufacturer of high quality products and this top is no exception.

I almost never return anything I buy. This one proved to be an exception to my general rule of "you buy it, you keep it." My opinion is that the glass top itself is quite good and is well made. The quality of the product was in no way related to my very negative overall assessment. The problem was the size of the top. I have a pretty standard size 75 gallon saltwater aquarium. My thought...which quickly proved to be wrong...was that a standard 48" x 18" would do what needed to be done. Like most if not all standard aquarium configurations, the top of the aquarium is designed so that the top is divided into two sections with each section providing a ledge on which a glass top can rest. When I tried to use this one I immediately found that its width precluded the sections of the top from reaching far enough. I could be wrong, but my best recollection is that the description of the product I saw on Amazon before I purchased it did not include precise length and width data. Two other points of possible relevance to readers. First, I really do believe that the product is of solid quality. My rating reflects only a problem of fit and certainly not of quality. Second, I experienced no problem whatsoever in returning the top. Indeed, I'm damn near positive that my credit card account account was credited with a refund before the top reached Amazon.
