These definitely do the trick and are relatively inexpensive for how many are in the package. I use them on my rimless aquarium. They seem super durable, so I doubt I'll ever go through the entire package of them, but it's nice to know I have spares!

This clips gave me the security I needed for my turtle. I ordered the top fin canopy for the 20 gallon top fin tank (I though same brand would fit best). What a nightmare. It isn’t to size and the back end is supported by thin flimsy plastic. Also only one set of thin plastic spacers for the back end help hold it up, still not snuggly because it has fallen in once. Luckily I was there and the uv lamp does not have enough slack to go it. These clamps are sturdy, fits snug too. Although I had to put enough all around so it rest evenly the package comes with plenty. I am so happy because I thought it was going to be a pain to find clips that fit that thick rim around the tank. Tallulah the turtle thanks you.

I ordered the 10mm, and the width is actually 15mm. It still worked... ish, but I would have preferred they fit as advertised. Since they still technically work to hold up the lid, I gave it three stars.
