Constructed from heat-treated carbon steel with a black oxide finish, our compressor tool boasts high durability and corrosion resistance, guaranteeing long-lasting performance.

11.5" Range

Featuring wide end pieces and secure locking pins, this tool ensures a firm grip on coil springs, providing additional safety and precision during compression tasks.

Instructions

1 Apply oil to lubricate both primary shafts.
2 Adjust the hooks in alignment with the safety pins retracted, ensuring they can fit securely over the spring.
3 Position each set of hooks 180°apart from each other, facing opposite directions.
4 Engage the safety pins into the locked position on the hooks.
5 Employ a 3/4" or 19mm socket wrench to turn the main shaft, compressing the strut spring sufficiently to safely detach the cartridge-holding fastener nut.

This is a simple tool for backyard mechanics to compress strut springs, They work well and are sturdy and the price is fair for what it is. I remember using similar tools many years ago that didn't have the safety pins and they were a bit scary to use, but these have safety pins that prevent the compressed spring from popping loose from the tool which makes them much safer to use.
