Not a cook by any stretch of the imagination. Have used this pan for making hamburgers and steaks; simple stuff. Works very well if instructions are followed. It does grill and fry as advertised, but (again) follow the instructions (I microwave the pan first to heat it up (3 - 3.5 minutes). For two 1/4 lb hamburgers, I find 3 minutes on one side (covered) and three minutes on the other side (covered with a paper towel) is about right.) Easy cooking evolution; easy to clean up.

I’ve used this for steaks and chicken breast so far. Food comes out juicy and cooked to perfection. I don’t use metal utensils to avoid scratching the unit, and I’ve only hand washed after letting it cool completely. Following the preheat directions are important, like preheating a grill.

Absolutely love this pan. Cooks great. I had a really difficult decision buying this because it is expensive. Worth every penny.

Whenever I use this product my microwave heats up to a high temperature, to the point that is sometimes shuts off. It is a brand new microwave that I bought only for this purpose. It is not possible to cook more than a couple of really small chicken breasts without the microwave shutting down.

The product has been exactly what I needed. As I am getting old and lazy, I needed a fast and simple way to start cooking again. I have done this and just the process of using fresh ingredients and cooking for myself has let me save money and allowed me to lose 5 kgs in a few months (yes my previous diet was that bad).Cleanup is washing it in the sink like a plate, due to the nonstick surface and it being so light.Great product, highly recommend.

This seemed like a promising concept, but my experience is that it fails to deliver. The instructions urge the user to heat up the empty bottom part by running it inthe microwave for three minutes with NOTHING in the vessel. Then add your food items to the very hot pan , put the cover on, and nuke away...But the problem is that there is too little MASS to prevent the initially hot vessel from cooling off very quickly and the result is that the food ends up steaming rather than searing and browning. My "testing" was done using thin (1/4 inch thick) slices of steak about 5 inches by 5 inches. They never browned and were always swimming in steak juices after 3 or 4 minutes on HIGH.I would have returned this if I had not just missed the return window. As it is I will put it away up in the storage cupboard unless I find someone who wants it more than I do (which isn't very much, but I won't send it to a landfill).

The pan is an excellent tool to add for use with the microwave. It works as advertised. It is light weight. It is important to follow the included instructions. Heat the bottom section in the microwave for 2 minutes prior to putting any food in the pan. The instructions provided suggested times for different food items. Those times will vary depending on the power level of your microwave.I frequently make scrambled eggs in the MACONEE Microwave Grill Pan. Preheat the bottom for 2 minutes, then place the eggs (minus the shells) in the pan and with a 1000 watt microwave, cook for about 2-1/2 minutes. With the non-stick surface, no cooking oil or butter is needed, though they do make it even better.I use this pan several times a week. I am a very happy customer. An excellent investment!

This works great. However the instructions don’t give you all the information. Clearly written for someone experienced. I’ve been cooking in microwave for almost 50 years so that is definitely me.Make sure you wash the pan before use and that it is completely dry.First only preheat the bottom half. Not the lid and Do Not put oil in it to preheat. Some of the negative reviewers complained about burnt oil smell. Of course it’s burned. Two minutes on high, will boil water in a large mug.Second use common sense in the temperature you choose to preheat. High will likely be to hot, especially heated in a large powerful unit.Third cook in short intervals. You can always add a minute if it’s not done to your liking but you can’t take the minute away.Fourth yes the pan will be very hot. It is a oven after all. You don’t reach into your stove’s oven with bare hands so why would you reach into a microwave oven without pot holders? So, I tried eggs first. Preheated on med heat, not high. Then added a very small amount of butter. Just enough to coat the bottom. Put in eggs and cooked one minute. Turned them over and cooked one minute. I like mine with no soft spots so did another 30 sec. Came out perfect. Tasted great and clean up was easy. Play with the temps and minutes and start low. You can always go up. Every microwave is different. Know yours. Hope this helped someone.
