I ordered this packge of 30 M6x30mm Stainless Steel carriage bolts to install an overhead garage mounting for some shop equipment. I was going to use regular bolts washers and nuts but thought I'd give these carriage bolts a try. They have clean polished finish and at 3 for a dollar are a bargain.

These bolts are fine. Delivered in a simple plastic bag clouded with a black residue inside which is most likely for corrosion protection. The matte finish is good with no signs of paint chipping. The bolt heads however are not perfectly round.Cheers
