The LDPCSJ M.2 all copper heatsinks kit is a simple yet seemingly effective upgrade for passively cooled NVMe M.2 drives. The package includes two heatsinks and two sets of different thickness thermal pads (0.5mm and 1.0mm), giving you some flexibility during installation. Unlike some alternatives, these appear to be solid copper, they have some weight to them.I installed them on a 4x NVMe PCIe adapter card with 2x Samsung 990 Pro drives (with two empty slots still available), and they fit well, no issues. The included rubber bands help secure the heatsink, but the snug fit meant I didn’t even really need to ue time. While I don’t have temperature data from before installation (new PCIe card as well), the SSDs have stayed cool——though the adapter card’s built-in fan certainly helps.For the price, these heatsinks are a great way to add that little nit of extra protection against overheating.
