Killed my CPU, I installed this using a small-reasonable amount of force on the screws, and it failed to boot. CPU now doesnt work direct die anymore, or with the stock IHS thermal pasted or liquid metaled back on. I am extremely lucky I have another CPU coming in already as an upgrade to the 7600x this killed, but dont be like me; go play some video games instead of wasting time on these garbage risky products. Leave the insane stuff to the youtubers that get sent these products and CPUs for free.

I used the AM5 delid mate for a 9800X3D, and I'm using liquid metal between the cpu and this heatspreader. I'm having compatibility issues with my ram so I haven't had a chance to run benchmarks but so far I'm seeing 23C which is a few degrees above ambient temperatures. From the reviews I could find this is better than direct die because it can dissipate heat better than direct die. Hopefully I can verify this in the next few days.

War einfach zu installieren und die Temperaturen, sind in etwa 10°C kühler. Top Produkt!!!

Long story short, CPU was not detected during POST. Seemed to be an issue with mounting pressure, as I followed all instructions with mounting and consistently received code 00 as soon as I powered on, indicating the CPU was not found. Direct die mount showed the processor still functioned without this heatspreader. Very disappointed as I've been a Thermal Grizzly fan for many years.

I am using this product with my Ryzen 9950X and Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280 (Asus X670E-E Strix). I am running PBO limits maxed out, +200Mhz, 10X Scalar, LLC Level 3. COs that only apply to my CPU are negative 20,20,20,5,5,20,20,20,30,30,30,30,30,30,30,30. I am using Conductonaut Extreme between the dies and heatspreader, and between the heatspreader and Liquid Freezer III. The gallium will alloy with the copper of the Liquid Freezer III cold plate and stain over time in this configuration, but if temps change it can be reapplied and should not alloy again.I am encoding 1080p and 4K content using x265 in Handbrake and temps are never exceeding 78c even after 44 hours of encoding. This keeps my all-core boost clocks around 5.4ghz for encoding, and I'm seeing 5.8ghz steady in gaming. Previously, when I was running my 9950X relidded with the factory heatspreader I was hitting 85c and boost clocks were lower. The true cost of this product is higher because you need to purchase the delidder tool, but this is seriously worth the price for the temperature decrease.

I was able to come down with the temperatures by about 10C degrees by changing standard heatsink to this one and using conductonaut.Totally worth it.

It is shorter than the stock height of the Heatspreader and out of 2 different AIO's I have yet to find one that makes contact. My advice, don't waste 50 bucks to ruin 500. After this I'm not sure I can ever trust Thermal Grizzly, this was an expensive mistake and I do not imagine they will repay the damage or money wasted trying to fix this issue aside from a refund to my "High Performance" heatspreader. There should be a clear warning about the difference in height, yet there is only claims of better temps and more surface area, they also claim it is compatible with many coolers yet out of two name brand coolers ASUS and CoolerMaster I have not found this compatability.

I installed this after delidding my 7950x because the stock IHS was somewhat poor for heat transfer. With a heavy cooler, I wasn't too comfortable having my cooler directly on my CPU dies for fear that I might break them with sudden movements. This was s great solution to that whole also maintaining lower temps than stock. I use liquid metal between the dies and this heat spreader, then used regular thermal paste between the heat spreader and my cooler. My temps have been about 15C cooler than stock, and only slightly warmer than direct die cooling, but the tradeoff was 100% worth it. Because the heat spreader is mounted to the motherboard and just makes contact with the dies, I don't have to worry about damaging the dies from my cooler since the majority of the force will dissipate to the board and not to the dies. But anyone looking at this item already knows what to expect from it so my review isn't trying to convince anyone. Just that I'm very glad I installed this :)
