The function, the fit and the feel of this Leica Q2 grip is prefect. I recommend it if you are looking to purchase one for your Q2.

The fit is great unlike others I have purchased at much lower cost.It’s lightweight, very well finished. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I seem to collect these thumb grips for the Leica Q/Q2 line. I've used one on my first Leica Q and now don't have a version of the Q2 without it. I think I've tried them all and all the designs, the super-expensive Leica one, the Match Technical one that is half the price of the Leica, and the various aluminum ones from Chinese companies. The Yewoop thumb grip is somewhere between the Chinese ones and the Match Technical. First of all, this one is way pricier than the other Chinese ones. Why? The finish on this one is way nicer than the usual generic one and matches the Leica factory finish pretty well both in color and texture. The usual generics are just painted flat black and within a couple of days, the paint starts to rub off the finish. Also, the edges are smoother than the usual generics, more like the Match Technical in that way. The corners and edges are more gradual and not as extremely sharp. So far, in 5 days to a week time, the finish on this thumb grip is still intact! But even if it is cheaper than the Match Technical version, it still seem pretty pricey. I prefer the design on these better, actually, I can find the back button more easily with this design than either the Leica or Match Technical brand, but that might just be for the peculiarities of my own chunky thumb. So, if you like the design and are looking to upgrade from your $25 Chinese generic thumb grip, this proudct would serve you well. Just be prepared to pay (but if you own a Leica, you already know that the accessories are going to hurt your wallet).
