For the price this is a very handy gadget. This is not a serious scientific instrument but a spare pair for hands holding an illuminated powerful magnifying glass. Used for studying and identifying stamps, coins etc, it is very useful and good value for money. For my particular hobby it would be useful if the vertical rod was taller, but that is nitpicking.

Love its simplicity and clarity of the screen. Does all needed for checking my coin collection for errors and even dates that can’t be seen with the eye. I’ve been able to distinguish the year of some coins that I thought was the date and it was confirmed. While it doesn’t zoom in 100x it does a considerable job for the about 40x scope. Really happy with this purchase. Some reviewers have said that it is flimsy or falls over, but I haven’t had any issue like that. Don’t really use or need the remote.Gave it four stars because while it’s a good product, it isn’t high level like the ones that are hundreds of dollars. This one is perfect for what I do.

First oft everything is basically plastic so not very well made thereNumber 2. The color on this is better than any of the more expensive ones I have tried. I didn't hook to a TV or monitor so not sure about that.The video has a lot of lag so the image is wavy as you move coins under it but that shouldn't matter. If you hope you have a good neck or that you're using it on an elevated platform because the main base doesn't allow to tilt and it only really has one image size and that's all. Can't zoom in except the buttons which is only a digital zoom once you magnify that it's grainy but again the color makes up for a lot. I have a trinocular stereo microscope with camera and have tried several other brands of digital microscopes $100 USD and didn't look half this good. The only thing I didn't like was the fact the optical zoom of this is one size so like the shark tank guys say and for that I'm out lol

Stand is made out plastic (I didn’t read the description of the materials) that is MY FAULT. But the stand is not steady. It does get top heavy. There’s no weight to the base. The remote control is inconvenient because it’s wired so it’s right next to the power plug which is also right above the I’d like to Jasmine. Everything’s all in one side not very convenient.. the height adjustment again without the balance. It wants to Teeter forward. I’ve had the product may be a month and the spool that adjust up-and-down has already broken. You cannot get a full picture of the coin which kind of defeats the purpose. For the price of the equipment it worth it it’s overpriced and you cannot get it to zoom in at Walmart. You can if you attach it to the microscope program and then you zoom in using your phone or tablet. And then it’s manual adjustment to focus and since the stands not steady, you can’t never get a good focus unless you hold the adjustable focus as you’re looking to keep everything stable. Do not purchase.
