the material seems robust enough but when i tried to tighten one of the straps it came right off in my hand. i don't know the proper sewing term, but the stitch density or stitches/inch is pretty low, so there isn't a lot of thread holding the straps in the seams.

Great fit and good quilting for the price.

Poorly made. Slight tug in the strap to cinch it and it broke. Also the top tore from weight of water after a heavy rain.

OK, I cheated. I got this to cover my saw mill and not a splitter. This covers the mill top, sides and even under the bottom of the blade. With the straps and drawstring where they are I have no fear of wind getting it loose. The tarp I had on it would blow loose in high wind.

My wood splitter spends it time out in the wood yard, and I do not have any covered area to store it. So the sun and rain do their thing. For the last couple of years I have used a large gas grill cover that has helped but did not quite cover everything, and it is starting to show its age but has helped protect the splitter. This cover is a very nice material that is large enough to cover my HF bi-directional splitter completely. It is a neutral gray color with a reflective inner layer. There are several nylon belts with snap buckles you can use to keep it in place from any wind storms.Should help protect my wood splitter for many more years. Recommended.
