Anyone saying it isn’t non stick isn’t getting the point. You have to season it and use it and it will build up a non stick coating. You could let this rust outside for two years and get it to good as new with elbow grease. They are pretty much indestructible and should be passed down the generations. This is the way to cook. Not putting pans on landfill every two years or ingesting coatings, just watch a video on YouTube on how to use and treat a skillet and you’ll never look back .

Súper sartén, no se le pega nada y lo mejor es que no es tóxico como otros.

Gotta love these Lodge pans. Easy to season along with the pre-seasoned pan. Cooked bacon in it for a week and pe3rfectly seasoned. Only complaint is the rubber handle they include. Seems too big as pan tends to rotate in the sleeve. Would buy again.

Good weight and quality of a skillet. Works well and looks to last a very long time. I seasoned it just right so do not have to use as much oil use . Cook time seems to be even and perfect . I do need to get more of their products .

If you like cast iron you know all about the issues some have with Lodge. I think the seasoning is better with this pan than one a bought many years ago. I still do a seasoning and began using it with the beauty of stick free Now I will say that I have a Lodge small griddle that had some bumps and well I never really understood how to season cast iron in the past so it was not really all that good. So I sanded it down to remove both the bumps and the defective seasoning that I did and reseasoned it and found that it is working well now. Not really proof that smooth is better than the dimpled ones but if that is your preference it is not all that hard to make them smooth and well it seems to be standard practice to season pan even it comes already done. I like that it is made in the USA and well the pans are nice for the price. I think that I now have enough information about cast that was not really easily available years ago so after one of my HexClad pans started to delaminate I started using the cast iron pan of close to the same size. It worked well and I think if you use it properly it is easy to clean and not really all that much effort. Plus if you want to use metal in it well no problem. HexClad said you can use metal but I am not going to risk it. I think I will always have some stick free pans but I know I will have this pan for life.

This van works great! So far I have been able to cook everything I want in it no problem. it came preseasoned it is way better already. I can have it cleaned up faster than my old ceramic pans.A few people mentioned what they thought was a defect from the factory. Lodge says it's a result of their preseason process. I've had mine a few weeks and mine is still there. This does not bother me. I received also had a small casting defect in the loop opposite the handle. This also does not bother me.The silicon sleeve/grip is absolutely worthless. It does not fit tightly on the handle and does not provide positive grip. I absolutely expect someone to drop the pan or have it flip over on them when trying to use the silicon sleeve.Walmart also sells these pans in various sizes without the silicon grip for less money. If you're interested in one of these, swing by and check them out. Then you can buy whatever you want without risk of getting something you did not expect.

I don't think there is anyone out there who grew up in the sixties who did not own one of these. I did! The kinds I had needed to be seasoned after you bought them, and were pretty fussy, and if not perfectly maintained, were relegated to the "camping utensils" category, and finally ditched. I decided to give a try to the new "factory seasoned" fry pan. And since I acutely remember burning my fingers on the handle if I was not really careful, ordered the silicone handle insert.Well, the pan did not disappoint. Cooked everything in it, from scrambled eggs, salmon fillets, stir fry peas/chicken (to which I added penne w sauce) and nothing sticks, and comes off with water and brush. So why the 4 stars? I forgot how heavy this thing is. I have the 10" version, and it is still almost impossible to lift it up with my left hand and move the contents to a serving dish. I almost always need help from my spouse to hold it up over the serving dish. And here is the worst part! The Made in China silicone handle sleeve is a poor fit over the handle of the Made in USA pan. It is very loose. The first time I tried to lift it up using the silicone handle sleeve, the pan twisted inside the sleeve and almost fell onto the glass cooktop!!!The only thing the sleeve is useful for is to hold the pan while I stir its contents, but a bar towel works just as well. If I could just return the sleeve, I would.Save yourself $5 and buy the version without the red silicone hot handle holder!

ordered this for a friend, it's perfect lodge quality but the hot handle holder was lost during pickup of the package from aramex (the box looked like it took a beating) I don't know who's fault it is but customer support was kind enough to reimburse the lost item and more. Thank you

“The Lodge 10.25-inch Cast Iron Skillet with Red Silicone Handle Holder is a staple for any kitchen—from home cooks to pros. This skillet holds heat beautifully, delivering an even sear and perfect crusts on everything from steaks to veggies. The silicone handle is a great touch, making it easier to handle, though you’ll still want to be cautious with high heat. Pre-seasoned, it’s ready to go out of the box, and with some care, it just gets better with time. A true workhorse and a must-have for anyone serious about quality cookware!”
