Great little Lodge cast iron skillet! I oiled it up and put it right to work. It is so much better than any non-stick pan that I have ever had. Nothing that I have ever cooked in this pan has stuck on and the thermal properties are fantastic! Even heating and heat maintaining are great!

Love this pan. Perfect size for one person cooking. I gave away my bigger Lodge frying pan because it was too heavy for this old lady (84) but this is perfect.Cooking with it is a breeze. Make sure it's heated up well before adding oil and you won't have anything stick. Easy to clean too

If you’re looking for a smaller-sized pan but don’t want a non-stick one, this 8” Lodge fits the bill. I use it for toasting nuts, whole spices, a single egg or grilled cheese sandwich - it’s a perfect size and weight. Well made, pre-seasoned, and simple to clean.

Perfect! small pan , Washed in salt water, lightly oiled, added little butter and scrambled eggs, my test for sticking , NO sticking, even first time used, light wash, back on heat few minutes to dry off then lightly oiled, leave to cool for next use, I’ve tried many fancy pans that the coating come off , cast iron last a lifetime maybe more

I am in the process of replacing all the pans I bought about 5 years ago that had a nonstick coating. I have invested in a few good quality stainless pots and pans, but couldn’t find a small pan I wanted for omelets or one egg breakfasts. And, I read that a cast iron pan might be a good option for me. I hesitated because cast iron seems so heavy for me now, but I am throughly delighted with it! I have an electric coil burners on my stove and it heats up well. I have learned to preheat it and water drop test it for heat. With adequate oil, it cooks perfectly and cleans easily! No stickiness! With all the health issues associated with nonstick finishes, I can’t believe it took me so long to discover and appreciate this product.

Pan came with lodge seasoning on it so I seasoned it 2 times before my first use this morning. Heated the pan, light corn oil, beaten eggs, seasoning, diced pepperoni and American cheese. Perfect cook. No sticking at all. Nice breakfast from a nice cast iron pan. Now it sits with its other cast iron brothers. Great size for my 2 egg omelet..

The Lodge Cast Iron Chef Collection Skillet is a fantastic addition to any kitchen, offering healthy non-toxic cooking benefits thanks to its cast iron construction. I've thoroughly enjoyed cooking with it, as it provides even heat distribution and is the perfect size for cooking up an egg or a small pancake. However, I did encounter a casting defect on the front rim of both the first and second pans I received. Despite this flaw, it doesn’t affect the skillet's cooking performance. I’ve chosen to keep and use the pan because it’s otherwise wonderful and delivers great results.

This is a great skillet and I just ordered one in a larger size as well. It's slightly lighter than Lodge's Classic skillet of the same size and this handle is curved and slightly longer. The curved sides make it easy to use a spatula.Food doesn't stick if you thoroughly heat the pan before adding oil or butter. Then after the oil or butter is added, let that heat for a bit as well. Your food won't stick. That's how you do it for cast iron and stainless steel pans. As you can see in my images, I made a 2-egg and greens frittata with olive oil (I like it crispy), saving half for tomorrow, and it didn't stick to the pan at all. There was plenty of room in this 8 inch pan to add two more scrambled eggs if I wanted to.

Built well, seems to cook without burning, does seem to stick from time to time, good value for a American made product
