" Convenient, Portable & Effective

Formulated to work like
LOCTITE® Hi-Tack Gasket Sealant liquid, but this wax-like stick is less messy, has a low odor, and is solvent-free. LOCTITE® 534™ Hi-Tack Stick sets quickly to a very tacky film, and seals and holds the heaviest gaskets in place. Resists gasoline, oil, and common shop fluids.

Won’t Drip, Leak or Melt! Perfect For Overhead Applications

These convenient and portable products will not leak or drip when carried in a pocket, stored in a toolbox or used in an overhead application. The sticks are designed and as easy to use as Henkel’s well-known Pritt Sticks for consumers.
LOCTITE® 534™ is designed for use as a tacking/dressing agent to be used in conjunction with cork and cut gaskets. This material allows a precut gasket to be positioned on a gasket surface and holds it in place while mating gasket surfaces are aligned and positioned. It holds aggressively yet still allows for repositioning of the cut gasket. It is supplied as a wax-like semi-solid, conveniently packaged in a self-feeding stick applicator. It is particularly well suited for applications where a liquid product may be too fluid to hold aggressively or be too difficult to apply. It stores easily and allows for direct contact to metal surfaces during application to ensure even coverage.

Removable with Hand Tools

Loctite® 534™ gasket dressing stick is applied to a mating surface and can be disassembled using hand tools. This anaerobic adhesive is typically used for machine tools, presses, pumps, compressors, mounting bolts and gearboxes that require maintenance or servicing. The product works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids.

If you’ve never used the Hi Tack product you’re missing out. This stuff holds most anything in place while you finish assembly. This is a thousand times Breyer than silicone as this doesn’t seal off a gasket and prevent it from doing its job. I’ve pulled components back apart some time later and found there are no side affects, or any I’ll long term affects when using this product. Great product, good price, shipped promptly and has always been new product, not some left over crap in a smashed container. Highly recommend.

Bought this for rebuilding my Toyota pickup transfer case since it was recommended by the Marlin Crawler kit. I'm not sure if this is a fair price since i couldn't find it anywhere else, but I highly recommend the product. This made assembly sooooo much easier since the gaskets stayed in place. Especially the transmission to transfer case gasket since I only dropped the transfer case. I believe any residue squeezed inside the case is compatible with the oil and won't clog up any holes. Please use this instead of RTV! Engineers designed gaskets to work as gaskets; if RTV were better than gaskets, they would have used RTV instead. RTV is really great stuff that should not be used to make gaskets or seals unless absolutely necessary.

Works as advertised. Held the oil pan gasket in place during assembly. Stays tacky without drying up.

I have used this a number of times and it really works great. I use it to hold gaskets in place before assembly and it does the job. Easy to apply with the stick. I am really glad Loctite has created this line of stick products, lot less messy than the old way.
