Purchased this after doing some research into red threadlock. Back in the days (of 1995 it would seem), cars (maybe just mine) called for red threadlock. In the service manual of my 1995 E34 BMW they didnt call for a 263 loctite threadlocker but instead just called for red threadlock. Now with some considerable digging and references across forums and Loctites own data, I was able to determine that 263 is the closest modern version. 263 is also indeed red. So if you're here for that, then I hope my review acts as a confirmation. With that said, the threadlocker performs as it should. The suspension/drivetrain component that I used this on (following the factory service manual) had yet to come undone and fail. And it had been roughly 10k km after the repair so I would say it's held up well. I've yet to need this in any other applications at the moment but if it's been trusted on a crucial component of a close to 30 year old car and then performed according after use then I'd say it's trusted in my books. So definitely recommend 263 for all 263-related and red loctite-related applications.

Careful were you leave the tube when you are done, it leaks on whatever you place it on. Put it in a zip lock bag.

Per the manufacturer's datesheet, this product has a shelf life of 2 years. The product I received had the following expiration date : 11/07/2024.We're in Canada, Is that July 11 or Nov 7? I opt to return my order because 6 or 10 months exp. date was too close. To the vendor, you should ask the manufacturer to put the expiration date using word (July 7 2024 or Nov 11 2024).Note that you should not order this product when it's way too cold or too hot outside, the product quality will degrade if left in temperature are 26+ Celsius or below 2C. That's my understanding from what I read.

Used to repair the bottom joint of an electric trolling motor for fishing. The bond between the threads could not be undone by hand and it withstood a 10 minute trial of the motor in a body of water. Looks good!

A much needed staple for "threaded" DIY projects you want to hold together. Stronger and higher temps than blue loctite.Still removable even after full curing time. Just use your muscles you sissy. This small tube will last years.

It works wonders when needed. It just is in one small container.
