Maybe it was just my batch. The pivot rivet, the one that connects the adjusting part of the handle to the lower jaw, on all six wrenches are not fully riveted. It is much to loose to be to reduce friction on the pivot, but I think that is the reasoning, but that gives the lower jaw way too much side to side play.Using a hydraulic press to tighten the pivot (I could have used a small hammer) both reduced the play AND identified that that rivet is much too soft for what it's purpose is. A better grade of steel rivet should have been used.Any sideways pressure on any of these will create looseness in the lower jaw.Care must be taken to not produce any twisting pressure on the jaws. If you do, these are a great value. If you have novices using this, they can really wreck these in minutes.

I bought these for my son, who did not have a set of VIce-Grips to work with when we needed them. This is a handy assortment.

This review is for your garden variety handy man. People who dont mind cheap tools, but appreciate quality when its a step above the cheapest. This set is that step above. This is that mix of price and performance youre looking for - really hits that sweet spot.Trying to use these professionally everyday? Need these for a singular, consistently abusive purpose? Maybe a tool snob? These are nice, but look elsewhere.TEETH DURABILITY:I really put them to the test while disassembling some 1970's water spigots earlier today. Those who have done this before will know the struggle and the muscle required. Although the spigots were primarily copper, I included photos of the teeth because they *really* held up under abuse. I mean like.. I really destroyed/rounded off/clamped down super hard on these spigot surfaces and the teeth show negligable amounts of marring. You can even see where teeth took some of the metal with it. And some of the surfaces just arent as "crisp" as they were, but really im nitpicking this detail. This doesnt concern me with future uses, not at all.RUBBER GRIPS:Didnt disappoint either - very comfy and didnt budge when applying 100% of my strength at awkward angles. But the bottom rubber grip is more vulnerable to awkwards grip angles so keep that in mind.I do recommend this set, thanks for reading my review, i hope it helps.
