This automatic water trough is hooked up with the included 30-inch hose to a standard 3/4-inch water hose or faucet. That means you can easily get water to this float-controlled water trough without any complicated plumbing. A 4-gallon capacity makes this auto livestock waterer ideal for horses and cattle, and when the water level drops below a certain level, the waterer will automatically refill itself from the hose. This automatic water trough includes metal brackets for over-the-fence or on-the-wall installation (hardware not included). So wherever you have hose access and a solid object on the farm, watering the horses just got a whole lot easier.

We order these all the time. Bought 3 ALL THREE HAD NO HOSES These were more expensive than most and came without hoses. We were stuck and needed to install so we needed to use them and buy hoses. Not very happy

No stopper in the bottom so difficult to clean. Leaks at hose. Took forever to get not to leak.

We were able to hook these up easily and they work well. However, our horses get bits of feed and hay in the water, and there’s no easy way to clean the automatic waterers without turning off their water supply and bailing out the 4 gallons of water. I have do this this multiple times a week, and it is time-consuming and a miserable task in cold weather.
