I successfully extracted two studs from an older engine the day of receiving this product, before the tool EXPLODED! Scratched a fender. Do NOT purchase this if you plan to encounter studs with any rust or corrosion; the cheap metal will burst. 1/5 rating. Sad

This is just a great tool for removing studs that are broken (no head) but with an accessible piece of shaft. This tool will grip and remove the stud.

Works great for pulling studs out of the exhaust manifold out of a 5.3 Silverado

Product would work well for a full length stud or at least 3/4" in length. I attempted to remove what was left if a broken 14mm bolt and tool exploded from the leverage available. If the bolt was longer than 1/2" I feel it would have worked. Wear your eye protection.

One of the best-designed stud pullers around. Quality steel and sturdily made. Best for use on longer studs where the knurled wheel that does the clamping doesn't impact the threaded ends of the stud, but this puller and some Kroil usually makes short work out of pulling just about any stud you can fit it around.

I busted a couple of seized bolts that go into my engine block. Luckily, I found this tool on a Friday and received on Saturday. It grabbed on to the piece of bolt shaft and removed the broken bolts like they were nothing. 100% would recommend this!

It's okay, but if you have to put significant force through it to extract a stud, the stud is liable to be jammed by the cammed wheel, necessitating disassembly by drifting the camming wheel out of the body.

"Made in Taiwan" printed on the item with nothing on the packaging to say it was made to Lisle`s specifications.
