- You extended the hook out as far as it could go.
- Pushed it into the air vent.
- Made sure it was hooked onto one of the individual slates.
- Turned the knob to tighten/secure it.
MagSafe cannot be used with these metal plates.
Please place the metal plate on the back of the phone without case.

This phone holder is awesome. Easy to install and stays in place even when you take the phone off the magnet. Magnet is very strong and holds even through my phone case. I'm going to buy another one for my other vehicle.

I wanted to wait a few months to write this review. This phone holder has been great! I have it in my 95’ BMW E34 and bought one for my girlfriend’s Subaru. They are super easy to install and use. The magnet is super strong and holds the phone very well in either portrait or landscape. My phone hasn’t fallen a single time even after hard bumps and potholes. There are two options to choose from for the plate that sticks onto your phone or phone case. I opted for the rectangle but the circle works just as good. The adhesive is super strong and survived very hot days during the summer. Overall a great mount for the price.

I am writing review after using it fir more than a year. This product is unbelievable. The magnet is so strong that it won't let your phone detach even while driving on rough terrain.

I purchased this for my car to hold my phone up by air vents, and I love it!It is easy to install but once secured it holds very stable. I have added the magnet and have a cover on top of it and it still sits very stable when in use. It has been working so well that we purchased a second one for my husband's car. Highly recommend.We have had it for a couple of months now, and it is still holding up very well.

…but the arm part is not strong enough to hold a phone when it’s at the 1-2 o’clock position. From a FT Uber drivers POV, this almost falls into a safety issue because I have to set the arm at the 5 o’clock position which makes me look a good 6” further downward while driving/using the driver app. I have to buy a different phone holder and that’s a huge bummer because I do love this. I’m currently driving a 2022 Ford Focus. On this car, the fans aren’t ideal for this unit. I have also used this on a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross & it was fabulous and worked flawlessly. This was when I fell in love with this fan cell phone holder. NOTE: I rent my cars through the Uber Hertz Partnership so I am keeping this holder for another car. I’m sure I’ll use it again.

I bought this because the previous cellphone holder that I had partially blocked the charging port on my phone. My phone is kind of old and I have to stay on top of the battery to make it through the day, so charging it on my way to/from work or on long trips is essential.This mounts by hooking onto one of the slats in the dashboard vent. The hook is then retracted until it captures the slat tightly. This is not a problem with vents that have slats of the same depth, but the vent on my dashboard is curved. This tends to skew the holder upward as it is tightened. I had to try a few times until I could get it to hold securely and not slip out of position. This puts a lot of pressure on a single vent slat, and we'll see if the holder and/or the slat decide to break over time.The magnetic mount is nice because it leaves the entire perimeter of the phone unblocked, but you need to have a case with steel in it for the magnet to attract. My phone case doesn't so I had to bond one of the included steel plates to the back of it.I initially tried to slip the steel plate between the phone and case (something the instructions tell you NOT to do, to be fair) but the distance between the magnet and plate is too large to keep the phone in place.My case doesn't have a flat back, and I was afraid that the self-adhesive steel plate would not bond well so I used 3M high-bond double sided tape to adhere the plate to the outside of my phone case. This is VERY secure-- I'm pretty sure I'd bend the plate before it ripped off the back of the case-- but it makes the plate stick up from the back of the case by 1/8". As a result it snags on other stuff in my pocket and it has a hard time fitting in the phone holder on my motorcycle.Note that this is not the fault of the holder AT ALL-- it's merely an experiment on my part that didn't work. In the future I'll probably switch to a magnetic case for my phone, IE one that has a steel stand on the back. That will be a cleaner solution than the hodge-podge that I have on there now. Keep that in mind if you have a phone case where it will be difficult to adhere a steel plate.I used the holder for the first time this morning. I can tell you that the magnet GRABS ON FOR DEAR LIFE. I stuck my phone onto it and drove to work, and my phone didn't budge a bit. I'm really impressed with the strength of the magnet.So far I like this holder, and I'll like it even more when I get a new phone case. I'm a little leery of how it clips onto the vent, and time will tell how durable that installation is. For the moment however, this holder is working very well and holds my phone quite securely.

This car phone holder is amazing. It has a low profile, easy to use, easy to install and works great! I have a Nissan Murano and it fit perfectly. I was concerned it would cover up my vent too much and not allow enough air flow, but airflow is good. It was easy to install and I like the low profile. I've had phone holders, that have huge apparatus to hold my phone in place and they are awkward, cumbersome and take up a lot of space. This phone holder is small, discreet and I can keep it in my car because it doesn't take up a lot of room. The magnet that is used in this product is super strong; I didn't need to install the metal plate that came with it. My phone cover has metal on it and the magnet works perfectly with it. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking to have a place to hold your phone in the car. It makes navigation much easier. I don't generally write a lot of reviews unless I am either dissatisfied or super pleased. This is 100% pleased. Thanks for making such a good product.
