While my daughter killed the strap during a bad bike accident at camp, her instrument survived the tumble with no damage (she however went to the ER/ bike needed repairs) . She used this case for several years at band and various scout camps. Her trumpet looks roughly the same as when purchased, which is a testament to this product as most scouts instruments look as if they have been severely abused. Includes enough space to store a mouthpiece, but much better protection than the old hard instrument cases without as much padding. We repurchased the same case after her crash. We wished they made a model for bugles as well.

My trumpet fits in the case and the case feels sturdy enough to help protect the trumpet.
