I live in a post WW2 bungaloo, this works well on front porch. I hang christmas lights around front door and plug into porch light . Works well. I have a socket for front and back porches.

The project is everything that I needed however, I did not pay close enough attention to the fact it does not have a pull down cord so when I turn off my light switch, it turns off the devices that are plugged in as well as the light.

We use these plugs so that we can still have outdoor lighting, but we still have the ability to plug-in Christmas lights. It’s an all in one.

Not only do these work so well and come in very handy especially in the garage for me, but they are bargain priced here compared to Home Depot

The first one I used worked perfectly. The second one I put in and light bulb wouldn't light. I unscrewed and put the bulb back in light that was there no problem. I looked inside the second reached in an pulled the bottom contact up a little. Once I reinstalled it worked fine. Good luck not a bad product for the price.
