These are thinner than I expected; however, I don't doubt the rated capacity. The thinner material is not an issue it used on most trees, but may be a concern if used on materials with sharp edges. They are made well and have extra protection on the ends to protect against chafing. I used them with plastic edge protectors to move some heavy cement air conditioner pads, and they worked fine. They roll up easily and don't take up much space in storage between uses. I keep them in my truck in case I do need them for tree straps.

The straps are well made, no apparent flaws and the stitching is very secure. I intend to use these as tree saver straps as I do a lot of work dropping trees near structures and need to made sure I control the fall. The straps are advertised as having an 18,800 pound "capacity". That means it will probably snap if it's under that much stress. A reasonable safe working load limit is about 1/3 of the breaking strength, which would mean that these straps can safely handle about 6,000 pounds of tension under most conditions. For my use they'll be limited to tree saver straps. Good but use with caution.

Don’t know if it’s a misprint but it says these can withstand 18000lbs of weight. They seem a little thin. I’ll mostly use them to tie down my mower.

This is a good addition to my assortment of tie down and recovery tools. The listing title says that these are rated for 18000 lb capacity which I thought might be breaking strength. Then in the detailed description it says “ Web sling straps Vertical Rate Capacity: 3,300 lbs,Perfect Tree Saver Strap Basket Rated Capacity:6600lbs,Good Winch Strap Choker Rated Capacity:2,640lbs”. Confusing. These are only 1” wide so if you decide to get these, use them with common sense. I would not load these with any more than the capacities in the detailed description. The protective sleeves on the eyelets are just okay. It’s almost like that heavy synthetic fabric you may get as a cheap bag. It is not like a heavy nylon. Durability will depend on your use. The webbing and stitching look good. For me, these work well for my log splitter, motorcycle, or other things in that weight class. I would not advise using these for anything larger.

I had a task for these tree saver straps and they worked great. I needed to protect one tree while removing another one with it's roots. While i was a bit concerned about them holding up to the task without trying them out before hand on anything else. They did remarcably well and came out unscathed other then some discoloration due to bark contact. Otherwise nothing frayed and everything stayed in tact. And yes i was able to remove the trunk on the right side completely with it's roots. While it was not decayed, the Cherry tree was old and ground was fairly wet. With some help of the sawzall i cut exposed roots in the ground and kept pulling up the remainder with the winch cutting the roots as needed.
