Smittybilt has but out a great value kit. Some of these kits sell for insane prices, but SB has given the buyer what they need to go a recovery in once get kit. One of my best buys.

Bought this kit for multiple reasons, i have a jeep so i like to go off-road a few times a year and being solo i wanted to make sure i had some good recovery gear. the snatch block and chain should come in pretty handy if i ever need them, also the recovery rope if i need to help someone else out. Thats the second reason, i was assisting people this winter get out of snow with my winch, this recovery rope could have done that same job but made it a little easier because i could tow them out and not have to move back and winch, move back and winch etc.

Just got this today and could not be happier. Everything is heavy duty and appears to be top quality. Bag is solid with handles and attachable shoulder strap. Gloves fit me perfectly, usually I wear L or XL. Extra room in bag for my winch controller and possible extras. Only thing extra i would have wanted was the cable damper blanket, but I'm happy with this kit.

Pretty good kit. “Recovery strap” however is not stretchy so it’s really just a tow strap. Quality of parts and bag good so far. Winched out some bushes and worked well and 6’ of grade 70 choker chain came in handy. Gloves are too small.

Comes with everything packed neatly. I saw a couple of reviews that complained of zipper issues. The zipper on my bag is very robust and durable. The gloves fit me perfectly; I wear size Medium gloves so I assume the gloves that come with this kit are medium. Everything is quality.

Ok. In full disclosure I have not used this kit in a vehicle recovery and hope I never do. So this is a review of initial impressions of the items ordered. What it is not is a review of Amazon or its processes, the delivery van or its driver, the color of the box, or a "it would be perfect if they only added x" (read a lot of sarcasm here)!So here goes.1. This is MUCH heavier than I was expecting. My guess is ~25lbs with the snatch block being tied with the shackles for weight. I do honestly think the snatch block is a bit heavier though.2. All items appear to be well made although the coating on the shackles is interesting and I do not know if it will chip off with use. But it is there only for cosmetic reasons and will not live on my bumper mounts. The snatch block is very heavy and has a zerk fitting to grease the bushing which is a great surprise. It contained grease out of the box and is ready for use.3. The 4'' tree saver and 3'' recovery straps are well made with no noticeable mfg're short comings noticed. The attention to detail on all stitching and webbing appear proper with no fraying noticed.4. The choker is a bit smaller than I would have liked, but I knew this before ordering and is exactly what is on the build sheet and am certain it will function within its design parameters.5. The gloves appear to be well made with protection in place for the back of the hand. But I do think if your hands are large these will be too small. In a golf glove I wear a Ladies large or a men's small cadet and believe the glove I received is a standard small maybe a Med. It fit well enough not being sloppy/baggy but the fingers were a little long; although this is not an issue for me.6. The Accessory Bag is well made with plenty of internal side pockets to add the items which would make the kit complete IMO. However, I do not know if the added weight of those items would cause issues. If it does fine, but the bag is perfect for the items delivered not necessarily for the items I will add.I do think that to complete the kit (as I see it) a couple more items are needed. I plan to add 2 more shackles (soft), 2 snatch blocks and 1 tree saver. If you need to winch in reverse with a front mounted winch you need 4 anchor points, meaning 3 straps, 4 shackles, and 3 snatch blocks at minimum.So very pleased with the purchase and hope to never need it for my own vehicle. I do plan on using it to remove some items out of our landscape soon. If it does not preform as expected I will revisit this review.

This kit includes most of the essentials you need in a recovery bag at a very affordable price (compare to a similar ARB kit for $400). So far, the only thing I have added is a snatch strap and some line dampers. There is not much spare room in the bag for any additional items so I wish the bag was a little bigger. Also, the gloves included in this kit are probably close to a size M. They do not fit my size L hands comfortably but I can make it work since I have thin fingers.
