I needed this to check the levels for an experiment. It was easy to operate on and easy to read from. So far so good.

My wifey was constantly whining about possible radiation coming from the granite counters in our kitchen. I know that the radiation from them is neglidible if it is even there. But I needed to do something. So I decided to ourchase a cheap geiger counter knowing full well about their subpar accuracy. Lifebasis had a coupon and here we are. I can't attest to its real accuracy as I don't have anything for a reference. It flashes some low random numbers everywhere. These numbers don't go up near the caounters and this is exactly what I need. Got the wife off my back- until she comes up with something else.

I've always wanted to experiment with a Geiger counter to see if my granite countertops or other items in my house give off small amounts of radiation. This LifeBasis Geiger Counter Nuclear Radiation Detector is perfect for that. It's a really cool tool with a great interface that feels high quality.I tested it out on some bananas on my granite countertop and observed a small rise in the dose value, which was very interesting. The smoke detectors in my house also showed a small rise in radiation, confirming that the detector works well. The real-time detection and multifunctional capabilities of this device are impressive. It detects dose rate, average dose rate, and total dose, with customizable alarm thresholds. The smart alarm and intelligent display settings are very convenient, and the rechargeable battery and portable design make it easy to use anywhere. This Geiger counter is a fantastic tool for anyone interested in monitoring radiation levels in their environment. Highly recommended for its accuracy, ease of use, and high-quality build.

I bought a few vintage watches with dials labeled as having radium. I bought this counter to check the levels/verify. Some watches read very low counts and some barely above background radiation levels. This seemed suspicious to me. So I ordered a GMC-300S just to get a "second opinion" as I've seen a lot of watch people on the u tube using those with success. Of course the suspected watches all spiked like crazy with the 300. Scary high readings. Not sure if I just got a defective unit or it's just garbage. But trusting this could have been very dangerous.

Bought this Geiger counter meter a few months ago and I think it’s great. I like that it’s lightweight and also easy to use. I also tested it against another Geiger counter I bought a while ago that was much more expensive and they both gave the same readings so I also like that this is so cheap. The display was quite useful and very intuitive too which appealed to me. I already recommended this to some friends who plan to buy them for their bug our bags.

I’ve been wanting a radiation detector/Geiger counter for a long while- but they generally seemed bulky, hard to use and not particularly reliable, according to reviews. I knew I was taking a chance here, with very few reviews written. But I liked the price point, design and features, so I decided to get it. I’ve been seeing background radiation varying between 0.05 and 0.23, averaging around 0.13. I plan to bring it with me on my next dentist visit.I will say, it has a nice bright display. It is small enough to carry in a pocket. The battery life seems incredible considering having a graphical TFT display.I would recommend doing research and reading about types of radiation, and how it is measured, and how radiation exposure is evaluated and interpreted.

Had a problem with my charging cords which were all bad. For some reason 3 of them were bad, but hey, there were all from the dollar store. Anyway, the unit works great for short range detection. Great for food testing.
