I haven't yet used this with a software suite that can take advantage of this scale (haven't needed to, honestly), but the precision of this scale is pretty fantastic. However, compared to other scales, I hesitate to say this is as good as other lab scales, but I believe it does well enough that it's worth the asking price. My hunch is that it probably has some compatibility issues with software systems, but that may be unfounded. RS232 is universal and pretty difficult to screw up. Anyhow, great scale.

This scale feels like it's made for scientific data analysis, that's it made to be so precise that it'd be a waste to use it for everyday items such as food. I think the most practical use for normal use, would be for weighing jewelry, especially if you are the store owner. This scale goes down to the nearest 0.0001 gram precision, and that's pretty insane to me. So when I mean for data gathering, I'm thinking about powder, or anything in super fine form. Measuring liquid is fine too, but you just need to take into consideration the container for the liquid, so you should weigh that separately for the most accurate measurement. Finally, this whole device is rather huge, so you definitely need to consciously make space for it.

Quite pleased with the performance, ease of use, and look of this balance. Performance is comparable toa much more expensive unit. Comes with a functional breeze shield, one 200g calibration weight, and power cord. There is also a built-in leveling sight and two forward height adjustable foot pads. The controls are simple and intuitive. There is a slight amount of drift of the readout for the 4th decimal, which is the reason for only 4 stars out of 5.

This scale has a very high precision that is great for our use when measuring plastic parts. I also use this to measure water additions for brewing beer and the precision helps make sure I have just the right amount for my batch sizes.

Extremely excited about this product. It works great. The scale is accurate and it is easy to use. The doors slide easily and prevent any gentle shifts in air to impact what is being measured. Only thing I wished was it had a more universal PC connection options, like a USB, but I'll figure out a way to use the included cable with another computer later on.
