i really like these 8 oz glasses, they fit my hand well and are heavy and seem well made. My husband doesn’t like them as much as I do as he finds the handle on the small size, the larger sized mug might be better for him.

I wanted the freezer frosty durability and weight of a vintage A&W root beer mug in a bit smaller size and these worked perfectly. These are a slimmer diameter but still made of relatively thick glass with enough mass that if frozen will keep drinks frosty cold for a while especially liquids that you do not want diluted with melting ice....I especially like keeping one in the freezer to use with milk and linger eating a few cookies while the milk remains ice cold. These were very well packaged with double thick corrugated cardboard and nestled in the same thick corrugated board in 'cut to fit' cubbyholes for the individual mugs....they should be protected from all but extreme conditions of shipping. Some claim the Libbey's mark is not on the glasses but mine had the authentic cursive capital letter L logo. The glasses are somewhat slimmer than what I consider to be a medium large beer mug of for ex. 20 oz. ...For reference the inside diameter will fit a standard 'diet coke' can with approximately 1/16th inch to spare all around and the can will not go all the way to the bottom of the mug but will protrude above the top a bit. A liquid measure of 16oz will fill the mug to within 1/16 inch of the brim.

So when I first purchased these, I thought they were too big too heavy and I wouldn’t like them? Well, I was wrong. The trick is you have to use them correctly.These mugs, you keep in the freezer. They’re thick and heavy, and they retain the freeze. When she drink from the frozen Mug, you will understand.They are great for beer, cider and milkshakes.

I'm super happy with these. The glasses were packed really, really well, and they're HEAVY, which means a can of beer (or soda) poured into them will stay cold for much longer than if kept in the can. (I was taught by a bartender to rinse in cool water then put them directly into the freezer). They're just large enough for a standard sized can. If you want a larger capacity mug, I'm pretty sure Libby has them. Will probably buy more since my poker night guys are growing, and it's nice having more than one per player

Tarros bonitos, de material grueso y de gran capacidad. Yo los tengo listos en el congelador y aguantan muy bien. Si, pesan un poco, pero nada que te haga desistir de su uso. Además el precio es el adecuado, en mi localidad los he encontrado con un precio muy por encima del de amazon. Me encantan! These are amazing! They are very thick, sturdy, and durable. My husband loved them for Father's day! They are a bit heavy in the hand at first, but what do expect with such great quality of glass. The go in and out of the dishwasher just fine no cracks or nicks or anything. They do hold water at the bottom, but no big deal just pour it out. My husband has put the mugs in the freezer many times ans sometimes for a long period of time and they hold up well, and make the beer, gin, or sods cold and taste great! I highly recommend these mugs to anyone. I told my dad he should get some. I will probably order some for him for his birthday! Love this product so much!

Just now checking and confirming, the Libbey website says these are Made in USA.I prefer to use glasses that have handles so I was very happy to see these on Amazon. I've had this set of 4 mugs for 7 years and they are excellent and still have no defects. I use these not only for beer but also for all types of cold drinks such as ice tea or milk shakes. They are freezer and dishwasher safe.I ususlly use coffee mugs for hot drinks so can't comment on those, but these glasses are heavy and sturdy and sbould be able to easily handle hot liquids provided they are not subjected to great temperature extremes. For instance, never take a glass out of the freezer and immediately pour in hot liquid, as that could cause any glass to crack or break.These glasses are heavy even when empty so may not be suitable for young children or the elderly, though one can always use straws.Some reviewers have complained about the ridge on the handle but I honestly don't even notice this at all and find these comfortable to hold. The small hollow bottom where dishwasher water can stay is also irrelevant to me. It takes a second to pour that water off and I air dry most things.These glasses are nice looking and actually do look more expensive than what they cost, so this would also make a nice gift set.

These are your standard, heavy beer mugs, perfect for freezing ahead of time so the mug is frosty and the beer stays really cold.They look like they came straight out of a beer commercial or maybe a bar scene in a movie -- except that if someone clocked you with one of these, you wouldn't just shake it off and punch him. You'd be doing really well if you could manage to babble incoherently at the paramedics.The issues that the other reviewers have noted -- thanks for the info -- don't matter to me at all. The mugs were apparently manufactured by pouring molten glass into mug-shaped forms, so there's a slight seam in the mug handle. That's why they cost so little -- they're beer mugs, not hand-blown works of art. They also have the beer mug's traditional hollow bottom -- any dishwasher water that lands there, stays there. I pour that water out on my way from the dishwasher to the freezer and I'm done.Good price. Shipped quickly. Came bubble-wrapped against breakage. Keep the beer cold. Manly -- and maybe intriguingly feminine. Really, what more could you ask?
