I love this step stool! I am 6’3” and not small. I do not always feel safe on step stools ( I also have big feet) however this little step stool is perfect! So sturdy and it looks nice in my kitchen!

The step was strong but very unstable and can easily tip when standing on it

The step stool for children and adults I have had a good while, several weeks before doing a review, I have a month, so wanted to ensure everything was correct and working, instead of rushing in.The step stool is for indoor use only, mainly because the wood is chipboard effect. The stool has two steps and max weight 500 lbs which is 35 stone, the item weight is 4.39kg. When together it is fairly heavy.Putting together my husband did. I asked him how he felt putting all the flat pack pieces together, he said it wasn’t too bad. Everything went where it should, the wood was a little distorted, but then stored wood is usually like this. The instructions were fine to read, however ensure you correctly get the correct screw and hole, mistakes can be made here. There are foot protectors to help the wobbling, as on its own, depending whether your home has completely level flooring, you may notice the wobble.I am not sure why this step stool is aimed at children, personally this stool is aimed at adults because of the weight. I would be concerned letting a child sit or play because of the heavy feel. There is another factor which comes to mind with kids standing on the stool, which I will come to in a second..In my images I am stood on the top step. Quite sturdy, and I do not doubt this will hold a heavier person of 35 stone. But there is a draw back to this step. When I stood on the step just for photo purposes it was a little wobbly. Also if your feet are on the top step, ensure you DO NOT LEAN BACK, the step stool falls backwards with the person on it. When I took my image, I leaned back, just a little to test and fell off, imagine a child doing this, kids will play, and I wouldn’t want anyone to hurt themselves. So please be aware of this. So I tried reaching my top kitchen cupboards with the step the correct way, again being on the top step, the whole lot went forward. So this step has to be used right next to and touching a cabinet, to stop the step tipping. Or touching a wall or something for protection. I am 5ft 9” tall and weigh 11. 5 stone roughly, took my weight. For the price currently at review £34.99 this is a lot of money for chipboard, having to make it up, and nothing stops it tipping over. As adults we know to line the step up against something. The bottom step fine. There is a 20% voucher on offer currently.Being this kind of cheap wood, it does get really dusty, especially if you have pets, and hairs on the step. Not to be used outside obviously because the wood will bow and go to mush.…..My conclusion …….….The Good…..Good and strongNice wide stepsNice heightAll parts in the bagLooking at it looks nice…….The Bad……..Not that sturdy, tips forwards and backwardsNot safe for children of any age, very heavy, and the tipping issuesMade of cheap chipboardIndoors onlySome wood warped, some metal warped.Remember to prop against something sturdy when using. This stool/ step I would give 3.5* but had to give 3* as no other option. I wouldn’t give 4* due to the fact of safety for children and adults standing on the top step. If the steps didn’t tip forwards or backwards it would have been 4*, then 5* if the price was around £20.00, for what it is, I think it is too expensive.⭐️Thank you to the seller⭐️I hope my review helps you.

The steps are very small which is shown in the description so that’s a given, they are very sturdy which is good. The only problem is if someone weighs over 100 lbs and step near the edge the will tip over frontwards or backwards which is be dangerous.

Don’t buy this stool. It is a nice looking stool but very tipsy. I fell off it and cracked my ribs.

This step stool is perfect! It was easy to put together and seems much sturdier than the plastic version. I feel safer standing on this stool. The stool looks good and has a Lil weight to it. One wish that it folded but it looks great sitting in my closet. 💕💕**Update** Please be careful the stool is cute but it will wobble if you put too much weight on the top or when you step down...I have almost fallen twice.
