I am very happy with the unit. The shipping package looked really poor. It should be packaged more safely- it was just loose in the box. Other than that, I am very happy with the product.

So excited to have ice again! Was a perfect fit for my fridge. Fairly easy to install. Only downside, it came with absolutely NO instructions! Hence 4 stars instead of 5. Finally found a you tube video that was excellent. No problems.

Defective. Didn't work.Note: The sellers description says its a compatible replacement for my LFXS28968S fridge/freezer.My original icebox assembly has a lever that the ice operates when icebox is full. This replacement unit utilized a beam system.The 3 wire plug to operate the drive motor has to be cut off to fit my fridge and then splice the 3 wires into the existing fridge wires. I used solder connectors with heat shrink.All the main plug wires matched my old one but the plug has some extra plastic tabs that I hit with a file to make it fit the socket. All the wire colors & layout matched my original unit.Nothing happened when I turned it on. No water, no drive, nothing happened when I pushed the reset button.

The replacement ice maker was an exact fit and installed without any problems. Seems to be working just fine after installation.However, my biggest complaint was with the shipping. It arrived in a plastic mail bag and rattled when I pulled it from my mailbox. It's a long trip from California to Ohio and it got beat up. The small plastic spout that directs the water into the ice tray was broken when I took it out of the bag. Fortunately, I was able to remove the spout from the unit I was removing to replace it.The previous ice maker came in a box place in another box filled with packing peanuts. Who thinks it's ok to ship a plastic part in a mail bag?

Perfect fit for my model LMXS30776S /03 LG fridge. This unit has the single connector that's compatible with this model (would be nice if seller included a pic of this connector, so prospective buyers could verify compatibility with their fridge). Unit was easy to install (15 mins), following the excellent Appliance Parts Pros video on YouTube. The seller even charged me about $20 less than their posted price, which made it about 60% cheaper than buying the identical part directly from LG. Had it running smoothly, producing ice cubes, within a couple of hours.

Took a week to come but installed fairly easily. One white-headed mounting screw next to clear water spout catch funnel was a bit hard to find but the full unit disassembled fairly easily and the shipped sub-unit mounted easily -- put the obscure screw back in last. The overall assembly comes out of the refrigerator door with three silver flat-head screws and a wire harness un-plug. New unit matched old one perfectly and began producing ice within a few hours. Appears new, described as "like new". Ebay new unit was about $9 cheaper and probably had about same shipping time. These are relatively expensive icemakers at $100 ea and no sub-parts such as tray are available. I think water deposits in the tray were primary problem but I did manage to nurse the original unit along for 8-9 years by cleaning tray and water spout with vinegar a few times.
