City of Chicago Requirements
The City of Chicago has specific codes regarding emergency egress signage.
- Signs must be rectangular 20-gauge sheet metal box with a glass or plastic face
- Signs must be red lettering on white
- The letters and arrows of the sign are MANDATED to be red
- All Exits Signs need to be internally illuminated with at least a 10 watt "electric lamp"

Mounting Configuration
The CHEX series exit sign comes with a steel mounting bracket that allows both ceiling and side mount. Also includes universal knock-out patterns to mount to junction box.

Universal Voltage Applications
The CHEX is designed with a universal transformer that is suitable for 100-300VAC installation.
