I've bought and installed many of these for use in my home. Useful for both 3 way and single operations. Operates smoothly, quietly, and without flicker. Be sure to make corrections as it can be damaged if not properly connected.

This one actually dims the led lights all the way down unlike the Chinese copies that turn the bulbs all the way off before dimming them as you would expect.

Good dimming range for 200 watt equivalent LED bulb. No noise. Installed easily, although I had to fix some builder issues from 30 years ago. Slider controlled light comes on with same brightness when turned off - does not float. I have had good results with this brand over the years.

The function of the switch is great, better than my other brand dimmer switch, meaning it can fire up LED lights without first moving to the brightest setting before dimming. However, like my other dimmer switch, why does it have to be so large? It was almost impossible to use in the existing box because the builders had 4 sets of wires (black), 4 sets of white wires, and 4 ground wires all stuffed in the box. The regular light switch fit no problem, this one needed me to shorten all of the existing wires in the box to remove some of the obstruction, and then I could only get it flush to the wall using the mounting screws to pull it in against all of that existing wiring. If they can make a cell phone, they can rework this switch to make it less bulky and easier to fit in existing boxes with multiple wire feeds, at least that is what I hope happens over time.

Replaces a failed dimmer switch of another brand. The switch has a built-in led that turns on when the switch is in the OFF position; no fumbling anound looking for the light switch. It has a very smooth dimmer with no flickering as the light intensity is adjusted.

We did a kitchen renovation ten years ago and swapped out an old florescent fixture for 6 can lights. Recently, one by one, they started to fail. Of course, they don't make this model of light anymore, so we had to upgrade all of our fixtures to LEDs. The big problem now was that they were EXTREMELY bright, much brighter than the old can lights. I found this dimmer switch that would work on LEDs and ordered it. We put it in this weekend by ourselves. The instructions were straightforward, and the new switch fit right inside the three gang box. Got everything hooked up, and they all worked; even the other light switch on this 3 way circuit worked! The lights are now dimmed by about 50% and that works for us.

Had trouble finding a almond colour dimmer switch for our dining room. This was the perfect colour and my husband had no problems installing it. The little dimmer bar on the side works great. So happy that I now can dim my dining room lights.

I have had two slide dimmers (the ones that fit normal, non-decora switch plates) for 20 years. I have three lights wired into a three-gang box, and I don't want to change to a decora switch plate. The older slide dimmers were wearing out, and over those years I've switched all the lights to LEDs. I bought two of these dimmers to replace them. Like I said, I have two banks of lights that these control, one is a set of four LED floods in the kitchen, and one is a fixture with three LED bulbs over the kitchen table. First, when you turn these on, there is a noticeable delay of one second before they switch on. Annoying, but I can live with it. The bulbs over the kitchen table have a full range of dimming, which is good, but they also flicker when I turn on or off the other set of lights in the kitchen, or when I adjust that other switch's dimmer. By flicker, I mean, they turn off for half a second and then back on. The other set of lights do not have a full range of dimming, and the range is actually worse than the dimmer it replaced. So, I know the bulbs can go dimmer, but with this new switch, they only go down to about 40% brightness. Not a tragedy, since these are the floods in the kitchen and I don't usually dim them lower anyway, but it's annoying to know I can't if I wanted to. As of this writing, I am not sure I'll actually keep them or return.

September 03-2018 (Labour Day)Mike here, from Bourget, Ontario CanadaBe advised, before I purchased this item, I FIRST telephone tech support at Leviton. Made absolutely sure this is what I REQUIRED to do 'the job'. One thing I was advised/cautioned about ... when using LED lights, the glow in the dark feature, if it the LED lights continues to glow (small amount of electricity always passing through), when the switch is in the "OFF" position; then you will need to turn the light time glow at the switch to the "OFF" position. And ... this is what happened, so I turned the glow in the dark feature at the switch to the "OFF" position.Other than that ... I couldn't be happier with the way this switch ... allows you to select your LED lights from a very soft light all the way to the highest bright when you switch the toggle switch from the "OFF" position to the "ON" position. The other 'feature', Leviton warranties this switch for 5 years!Mike

Works great. This is the ONLY LED compatible dimmer with locator light that I have been able to find. Hard to find - not very popular? A shame. My previous, non-led dimmers have locator lights. I use these dimmers for my bathroom lighting so I don't need to choose between blinding myself with a bright light or stumbling through the dark.I wish there was a photo available of the locator light. I had to guess what it would look like - I'll try to post a picture when I get a chance. The locator is a dim green light which shows through the top portion of the toggle switch when the switch is off.The only complaint I have (well, two actually). 1) the LED lights only come on if the dimmer is set to 50% brightness. Once the light is on, it can be dimmed fully. It seems the LED needs a slight boost to kickstart it. 2) There is a noticeable delay between turning the light switch on and the light actually coming on ... maybe 250ms or so.Both problems can be overcome, I believe. It will just take some getting used to. My old dimmers could be left at dimmest setting and be turned on. I will probably get used to the startup delay. Both problems may just be inherent with using LEDs with AC power. One possible solution to problem 1 would be for the light switch to send out a pulse of power at 100% for 100ms or less, then reduce power to the dimmer setting. I do this in my electronics projects where I control an inductive load, like a fan, which requires some momentum to assist rotation below a certain threshold of power. This "kickstart" action is imperceptible to the user. Problem #2... I dunno, maybe a capacitor? This probably has more to do with the specific light bulb and the position of the AC power signal when the switch is flipped. At any rate, I'm slowly replacing my switches in my house to be LED compatible.
