Very simple to install and works great! The chain is pretty short so you may need to add extra chain or cord to be able to reach it but I'm pretty sure they included a string with it.

I still have a few of these being utilized in my basement and after so many years, they do fail but super easy to install ladies, if you have your not so handy husband do it, have him double check his connections, just saying

This was a replacement for an attic fixture that gave up the ghost on me. It came rapidly and was exactly what I wanted and as described. I changed it out myself after shutting down the power to the fixture. The wiring was identical and putting them side by side taking one wire at a time switched to new one then reinstalled it. Most important recommendation is to read the directions for safety info and be absolutely sure that no power is going to the fixture before working on it. Would recommend.

You do have to take caution not to use gorilla strength when hooking this up.The terminals where you attach wires are not really solid. When I thought I had both screws tight on the solid wire without twisting the terminal out of the fixture, a wire popped loose.Don't know how long term use will be but when mounted on a wall, the pull chain drags along the fixture. The old fixture I replaced had a flat opening and not the raised thick edge so the chain on the old one had nothing to drag on.

I bought this to gift to my elderly neighbors who asked for my assistance to fix a similar fixture in their basement that would no longer turn on. Replacing the fixture was quite an easy task although silly me, I decided to use the old screws and found them too short after trying a couple of times to install the fixture and before I remembered that the fixture came with its own mounting screws of the correct length. Duh! Anyway, the fixture itself seems to be quite robust and as long as you don't screw it in too tight to avoid cracking the case, it makes a good replacement to the one that was there before. Of course time will tell if the chain mechanism will last but overall and for this price, it is a good quality pull chain light fixture.
