The product does not match the photo in the product details. The lizard is brass but the edge around the button is black not brass as illustrated in the product photo. The lizard’s thin tail is brass and goes around the top of the button but the outer edge is black. Otherwise the product is nice and fits my camera’s shutter release. I have purchased Lensmate products in the past, a thumb grip and red shutter release button and came back to purchase this for my new X100V. A bit disappointed in the lack of brass coloring. Shipping was fast and packaging was very nice.

Love the feel and look of this button, shutter release definitely feels better with it. But it’s long gone again in the middle of a day out shooting, just wish they could figure out a way to keep them on the camera.

I had one of these for several years on an X100. I kept it after I sold the X100 and put it on my new XE3. Within a week it had fallen off and was lost. Thinking I must have attached it carelessly, I actually bought another, tightening it carefully. A few days later, I noticed it was loose and tightened it again. A few days after that, it was gone. Perhaps the power lever is shorter on the XE3, making it more likely that you’ll rub the release button in normal use. In any case, I’m not buying a third. They’re lovely, but $20/week is a bit much.

Fantastic piece of work. This arrived quickly in a tiny plastic box set in foam. the box itself was also protected.I am using this on an Olympus OM10 I refurbished as a gift to my friend. It adds a very subtle elegance to the camera, and also makes it much easier to trigger the shutter release. Fun customization piece and recommended for anyone who wants to add a bit of flair to their cameras! This comes with a tiny black o-ring that acts as a washer to prevent the button from falling off by accident.

Having a soft release button on certain style cameras is important to quickly activating the shutter. In documentary, street event, and sports photography - a fraction of a second can determine whether you capture, or miss, the decisive moment. On many of the cameras that use physical knobs and dials, the shutter release is often recessed lower than the dials. the soft release button adds more elevation to the shutter release, making it easier to find, and more responsive.Of the multiple soft-release buttons I've purchased for my Fuji cameras, this has easily been the best one I've gotten on Amazon. It screws in and holds firmly to the shutter release, whereas some of the less expensive ones have fallen off the camera in a matter of days (usually while I'm walking, and thereby losing the soft release forever...) :( The lizard custom soft release buttons have stayed firmly on my cameras, and I haven't lost one yet (after a year of shooting with one of my Fujis).I like this particular soft release button, partially just because I like the lizard design on it, but also because the longer i have it, the more subtle 'brassing' look it gets to it. Its just a nice looking bit of kit as well as being incredibly useful.I was happy when the new Fuji XT-2 came out with the same type of shutter release as the X100 series (the XT-1 will not accept this type of screw soft release) - so now I've bought one for that body as well.Highly recommended

Where to start... The lizard engraving is top notch, you won't find not even a pointy, unbrushed, edge in the perfectly rounded brass release. Bought it for my Fuji x100 and fits very well. Already been attached for around a month and did not gave me, in any moment, the feeling it was unscrewing! One more thing to mention: it really goes well with the brown leather Fuji x100 half case. But let's leave the aesthetics of this precious item aside and talk about the advantages it provides. In my opinion it helps you in finding faster the release button when playing around with, for instance, the EV dial. Also you can rest your finger and shoot in this position smoothlessly. I highly recommend this if you are looking for one of this little gems.

I have tried different shutter release buttons. Bought some from ebay and amazon, they are generally 3-10 bucks, but all of them sucks. The cheap ones don't have the small rubber which can secure the button on the shutter. I end up with losing the cheap shutter buttons. This shutter release button screwed in really easy and matched perfectly, and I never worry about I will lose it anymore. Shoot it with my x100s and xe2 for several days, no issue at all! Yes it is much more expensive than other cheap ones, but it totally worth it! Build quality is great and this Brass lizard button matched my Black XE2 beautifully! Will buy it again, if I get another fuji gear maybe when Xpro2 released?
