I always looked at these shutter buttons from a distance thinking how much could they really matter. Well, after installing one on my new X100VI I'm sold. The experience of shooting photos is transformed. As with other accessories I've added to this camera looks are pretty important and this fits right in with the retro look.

I love the look and feel of this; but even with or w/o the rubber band that is included the button seems to get lose and fall off so I have to consistently check that its its there securely.

I installed this on a Sony RX1RII, it fits perfectly and provides a satisfying shutter action.

I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 only because I find that the threads on the release button give it a nice look and feel but creates enough friction while moving in/out of a case or bag to frequently turn camera on/off (camera on/off button integrated into shutter button on X100VI). Runs down battery. Perhaps I should get a different bag or be more careful when moving in/out.

This is a nice, well made product that I will not be using. This comment is not only for this product - it pertains to all soft release buttons....Although the soft release feels great when shooting, I have found that the button makes it very easy to take accidental shots. I often leave my camera powered on in my shoulder bag when walking around town, ready for the next shot. This is really no problem when not using the soft release button, but when the soft release is installed, I find myself erasing dozens of "black shots" and an overheated and depleted battery from the soft release taking shots from pressing against the camera bag.Sure, I can modify my methods, but I don't find the benefits of the soft release that big of a plus to go to the trouble.... I'll keep it for the occasional studio shot. Sorry!
