I'm writing to share useful information. The man that serviced my Lennox furnace told me it was time to replace my filter. He recommended I replace it with the same brand because other brands don't always fit. A cousin also has a Lennox furnace. I don't know if it's the same model as mine, but he ran into this exact problem.

These are expensive filters, indeed, but are the ones recommended for the AC unit. They are very well made, and seem to do what they are supposed to do- remove dust from the air without obstructing air flow.

Ordered the two pack to save a little money, but trusted that these filters were OEM for the healthy Climate filter box installed with our Lennox HVAC system replacement last Spring. HVAC installers stuck a 4" ProPlete off brand filter in the box during install. It always bugged me that it should have had a proper 5" filter installed so just add money again for the OEM filter. Fit is so much better. No more gap. I guess the shipper was out of change reminder magnets. I didn't find any included with the filters. This system runs the downstairs climate control so I'm hoping the additional carbon filtration will remove some of that typical basement air staleness that the upstairs never seems to have.
