Important Note: Almost ALL furnace filters have a different "actual size" than the nominal size printed on the air filter. It's best if you measure your air filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size". With the 4" and 5" air filters there is a wider variance between the nominal and actual size depending on the manufacturer. If you are replacing a 4 3/8 depth 16x25x4 filter in your Honeywell unit you should order our 16x25x5 Honeywell Replacement air filter that measures 15 3/4 x 24 3/4 x 4 3/8 (15.75x24.75x4.38).

Changing your air filter is the first step in insuring your HVAC system runs at its optimal level this season. Generally, you should change your 4-Inch air filters every 3 to 6 months. Particles in indoor air are measured in microns, which are 1/1000 of a millimeter. A human hair is about 100 microns wide. A Nordic Pure air filter captures airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns! Nordic Pure air filters do not kill germs, however, the filter media does not permit the growth of bacteria or mold. The first thing I noticed was the filter contained inside of the cardboard was not adhered to the cardboard on the inside so rather than looking at the filter and seeing nothing but filter I could see through to the other side as there was approximately 3 inches of open space all the way across. I had to superglue it down and I hope that it stays together. Once I went to replace my old filter with this one there is clearly a size difference. Both my old filter and this one clearly have the size written on the side but there is no way that this one is correct. When I put the new filter into the system there was approximately a 1 inch gap to where my other filter filled the entire gap as its supposed to. This product seems like a great deal but sometimes you get what you pay for, in this case you would be paying for a very poorly made filter.

When we first moved in we had a dusty ventilation system. I, unfortunately, am allergic to dust. This causes chronic breathing problems like bronchitis and asthma like symptoms, respiratory illness, sinus infections, allergy attacks.Once we got the system cleaned, we were using those brown cardboard ones that came with the house and found they didn't really work. We went to the hardware store, that sounds like Rome Meepo, and bought some "allergy" filters that also didn't really work. The higher rated ones were super expensive, so expensive it was an issue. I found these on Amazon and thought to give them a try, they had other ratings online that were pretty satisfied. Now I'm one of those other people reviewing them and telling you I am very satisfied. These came in a 2 pack for a little less than $40, and definitely worth it for the giant filters we need.

These fit into my AprilAire filter slot as a fraction of the cost. At first I was dubious - I don’t believe it is worthwhile to save money if the product is sub-par or doesn’t perform as expected. I have been using this brand for a number of years now. The gentleman who comes annually to inspect/tuneup our furnace said that this brand is doing a great job. The inside of the furnace was clean. There is a bit of a small gap which I wish did not exist. I’d like to think that every last bit of air is being thoroughly filtered. The charcoal is a nice touch. I highly recommend this product.

I bought these to replace the filters in two of my HVAC units. They installed OK but they are thinner than the Honeywell filters I removed. These are 3/4" thinner. This allows the filter to move back and forth with the air flow and may allow some dust to get around the filter.I'll check the blower area to see if there's some leakage around the filters after a few months.

I've ordered Nordic Pure filters for our old HVAC system and the new one we had installed a year ago. The filter seems to be well-made and lasts just as long as the competing brands. One thing I did notice with the new 4" filters I bought was that even though the dimensions are the same as the Honeywell filter in the new system, the Nordic Pure filters were a little shorter. They fit in the system just fine but they don't fit snugly. It's probably not anything to worry about but it was an observation I made.

Just ordered this after enquiring with a couple local Hvac companies as well as hitting up Home Depot and Lowe’s... Neither HD or Lowe’s had this size in stock and the cheapest Factory Carrier filters from the Hvac companies were $180 each!!! (And they weren’t Merv 15).So after measuring my filter cabinet I took a chance on these. AWESOME! They arrived a day early, they fit like a glove, came in a two pack that makes them less than half the price of a Carrier Factory filter.Very happy with this product so far, and excited to see how well the Merv 15 help the sire quality.
