Comes in a box packed well. Enclosed instructions and very handy during power failure. Rechargeable battery . It needs to be installed properly to work, overall a very good product.

It functions as an e light but it's light weight plastic that snaps together, the mounting bracket that comes with it doesn't fit anything and the light back isn't punched out. I just drilled my own holes through the back and screwed it to the box.

I needed a new emergency light for an office/warehouse space renovation we're making and this looked like a good fit. It has a nice slim package to it and is easy to install. The LED lights are nice and bright and are a huge upgrade to the old halogen units. This tested properly and worked but we've yet to have an actual power outage at the facility to see how it performs in a real-life situation. I imagine and hope it works just fine when it's needed.

The LED Flying Direct LED Emergency Light with Backup Battery is an exercise in plastic molding. The only metal to be found is in the wiring and circuit board and j-box mounting plate. Granted that doesn't necessarily mean poor quality, but this is thin, flexible plastic. You also can see several mold seams/edges needing to be trimmed.It comes with metal j-box mounting plate common to other light fixtures, but there is no way to fasten the fixture to the plate. The included instructions are very brief and give no help, just saying to "fasten" it. You'll need to drill your own holes in the plastic backing and find some screws to make it work.On the bright side, it does appear to work. After connecting the wires and letting the battery charge, I turned off the power to the light. The LEDs immediately came on and provided a decent amount of light. I didn't test how long they will stay on but can confirm several hours.When looking at other products in this price range I feel like my money would be better spent elsewhere.
