If you dont want aluminum shavings in your food avoid this, the round plunger inside scrapes the inside of this sausage maker and you will eventually get aluminum shavings in your food. Threw this in the garbage where it belongs.

It’s so easy to use and easy to clean as well. I made 2-1/2 pounds of sausage from one cylinder. I don’t know what the negative reviewers were doing wrong, but just follow the directions and you’ll be amazed. I love the suction clamp, it really holds the unit in place while you’re turning the crank. And when you’re done, there’s very little waste, if at all. You’ll just need to push the last remaining ground meat into the casing with your thumb. The only thing I noticed was that the screw caps discolored a bit after running them through the dishwasher. You wouldn’t think that would happen with stainless steel. So perhaps hand washing in hot soapy water would be better.

Not bad for small batch. Biggest complaints are the plastic tube is too short and pushes back into meat with barely any pressure. Caps are hard to turn on threads.
