Parts were jingling around when I picked the box up. Outside box was a little rough with a hole in it. Opened the box and foam was in several pieces. Some broke and the whole thing was shifted inside. So it looked like it had been tweaked. Pulled it out set on the counter and the platform rocked and was a good 1/4 inch tweaked.

This is a large, heavy duty piece of equipment. To give you an idea, the shipping box containing the stuffer is covered with "team lift" and "heavy load" stickers. I've been able to run about 35# of meat through the stuffer so far, and here are my early impressions. The 'fast' gear is very fast, and can fully retract the plunger in a few cranks. The slow gear has been just right for the 3/4" nozzle, but I haven't tried any other sizes yet. So far, the air vent in the plunger has worked without any problems, and the unit is easy to crank with one hand. While the unit is easy to disassemble and assemble, you'll need a screwdriver to disassemble the air vent during cleaning.

This stuffer worked great! Did some 21mm pepperoni last night with it and was very impressed. The only thing is I had to clamp it to counter top to keep from sliding around.

Works as expected and uh the only complaint is that about 10 oz. of meat remains in the stuffing horn when done. But that aside, it works great and is a great addition to the person who processes his own game or likes to make their own sausage.

Great machine all metal gears, stainless steel container. No plastic nothing in the machine is plastic only the seal on the piston. Yes again gears are metal not plastic. I see some people said they had no air release but mine has it and I'm very pleased with the performance of the stuffer. Compared to other brands I have used before, this is by far the best I'm my opinion and my experience.

Bought this after owning the 5lb stuffer and needed a bigger one. This is a very heavy unit, so not easy to lug around. Works great. Heavy steel gears allow you to use smallest of stuffing tubes without damage. Cleaning isn't the most fun.

What a prefect and flawless stiffer !!! To be honest I was having second thoughts on the money I had spent. I even thought of cancelling the order because I saw other stuffers the same size for half the price !! It's true what they say though , you get what you pay for .... If your into making your own sausage , this thing will save you SOO much time . It's as simple as fill and crack and bam : Sausage !!! You will not regret it

My freezers usually contains one or two deer, a couple of pigs and half of a beef every year. Im also a foodie. I like to turn some of the meat into several different products that myself as well as my friends and family enjoy eating and cooking with. These include different kinds of sausages, sandwich meats, snack sticks and jerky. Ive been using the stuffing attachment on my electric grinder for quite awhile. I use a high quality commercial grade 1hp grinder. Even with that beast, stuffing sausages sometimes took forever. Especially with venison or emulsified meats that get sticky when running them through the stuffer. Not to mention the motor would get hot and heat the meat up (not good for sausages!!!). Using an actual tool made for the job makes all the difference. I can place the meat cylinder in the freezer while grinding the meat and mixing in the seasonings. Stuff the cold ground meat into the cold meat cylinder which keeps the meat chilled the entire time. This is extremely important for sausage making, not only for safety but for texture. Stuffing the casings with this style of stuffer is fast and very easy. Now 10 lbs of sausage meat makes a lot of sausage links. This stuffer might be a little bit overkill for somebody that just buys a pork shoulder every now and then to make homemade Italian sausage. But for people who have lots of meat to deal with and make sausages for the simple fact that homemade tastes better, is of higher quality, lower fat and cheaper than anything you can buy, its awesome. Yes its over 300 dollars. But its built extremely well. All the welds look good and its extremely heavy duty. It has performed flawlessly on 50 lbs of meat so far. Even with snack sticks which were a nightmare trying to stuff through a meat grinder.
