I only use this for interior spaces that are usually less than 50 feet across. It seems accurate. I did a few comparisons to more analog methods and I couldn’t find a result that wasn’t a strong match. It’s easy to use and navigate through the settings. The screen is easy to read in various lighting conditions. I tried a few of the auto calculations but not all of them. The few that I calculated manually again matched what the device kicked out. The case seems rugged but I will probably buy a small soft case for it so that it doesn’t bang around in my tool box or car. I can’t speak to battery life but I always keep extras anyway. A good find at a competitive price. I can’t confirm how it works outdoors because I’ve not had a reason to test it for that purpose, nor do I have the ability to independently confirm it’s readings over those long distances.
