Great leveler for the low price! It helps to not have to mark the wall with a bunch of pencil or tape. I do want to note that the tripod is very small and not too sturdy. But I have a heavy duty camera tripod that I use instead.

I picked this up on a lightening deal for $12. I'd say that is a fair price for it.I was using it to check the vertical level on some door jambs to make adjustments for the door to close better and it was on a small tripod I already had. I need the tripod because the vertical line starts to lose a lot brightness around 24" from the cross. So setting it on the floor made the top of vertical line hard to see at the top of the door - not impossible and you can definitely still see it, but not bright enough for me.I accidentally knocked it over and it fell about 2' onto a throw rug and the internal laser mounting got totally messed up. It was far beyond what it could self level and therefore total garbage after that. I sent it back as defective and got a new one. Description says "shock proof" but I wouldn't trust it on a job for a professional. I checked the new one against a 5' level I have and it is accurate.The horizontal line is bright for a larger distance but doesn't spread as wide as I hoped. I thought it would be close to 180 but it's probably around 120 degrees. I doubt it would be visible in a normally lit room from 100' away but it's good until at least 25 or 30 feet. Which is fine for home use.It only comes with 2 AA batteries and a basic case. That's fine for the deal price but for not much more money there are other laser sets that might be better depending on your needs.

Got it for paneling on walls. The buttons are counter intuitive. However the bigger problem is that it doesn't actually self level or lock. The line keeps bouncing and pretty much useless.Bought it for the price. Once again proving that better to spend a few bucks more and get something that works rather than cheap junk. Will be returning to Amazon. Disappointed.Buyer beware.
