Works ok for exhaust hangers. If they are really tight this tool will not remove them on their own. But when it does work it is much easier than using a pry bar

I replaced the exhaust on my vehicle and this tool is so much easier than trying to pull and pry out the hangers. I have seen people complain about the other cheaper plier models breaking so I went with this Made in USA model and it held up.

They work good for removing rubber muffler hangers, they are a little thin so they can flex a bit when used on tougher jobs. When I say tougher jobs I mean more rusted metal hangers.

Works just like its supposed to. Just spray some wd40 on the hanger first to make it even easier.

Removing exhaust hangers SUCKS. This tool will allow you to pop them off in seconds. Handles are not very beefy and can flex under high pressure. Sometimes you may have to put a lot of pressure on the exhaust to get these into position as well.

Didn’t need this at all but said screw it why not. As it turns out it was handy as heck. A little lube and this thing popped those hangers right out. I have changed out 1 exhaust in 45 years and probably the last, but if I do I’ll be glad to have this handy tool.

Feels kind of flimsy but works great. Once I broke the hanger pin free from the i.d. of the hanger with a screwdriver and sprayed in a bit of silicone spray removal was a breeze.

I didn't even know these things existed till I started browsing through langs website. I also have come to find out these are the same exact thing as the blue point ones on the snap on truck. They have worked great so far results are always better when lubing the grommets before removal. The only pair I've found more heavy duty then these are Matco ones. You get the feel if these aren't gonna remove it though.

Excellent tool for Japanese made exhaust hangers. Much quicker and I guess in a way safer than using a prybar to try and get the rubber off the hanger.

I purchased these specialty pliers to make working on a 2011 Mustang exhaust a bit easier, and they definitely do. Very simple to pop the rubber hangar grommet off the steel mounting rods. Beats struggling and wiggling them off. Tool is solid enough to last years in it's intended task. Note: brand received from Amazon was Lang Tools, not Kastar. (Lang apparently absorbed Kastar at some point). Tool was as pictured, except ships in a heavy duty poly bag, and handles are orange, not red. Part # is the same (436A) and tool is made in the US.

After wrestling with the exhaust hangers on my Pontiac Solstice I swore that the next time I worked on or around the exhaust on a car I was buying a tool to make the job easier, and I found this one. Recently I had to remove the fuel tank on my wife's '07 Malibu, and the exhaust was in the way. With this tool I took the exhaust off of its hangers in about 30 seconds per hanger, tops. It make a job that is painful with pliers and screwdrivers/pry bars to one that is quick and simple with this tool.If you're working on an exhaust, do yourself a favor and get this tool. Also, not mentioned anywhere I could see, but the one I received was made in the USA.
