I purchased these measuring spoons for dosing aquarium water. I needed increments measured in grams. This set of spoons features these sizes: (in grams) 1.0, 0.5, 0.25, 0.1 and 0.05 . The sizes are in raised plastic on each utensil, just the same color as the plastic. It's difficult for my old eyes to read, but after a couple of uses I memorized the sizes. The white plastic is sturdy and rinses well after use. There has been no staining, melting or discoloration. I was pleased to find this item on Amazon and expect many years of use.

Perfect pre portion tool saves time versus using a scale if you are weighing small amounts of material like powders..Find them very expensive but what other options do you have .. only micro measuring spoons on amazon and in the exact increments needed

I am very skeptical about micro accuracy in dosing. While it is true that digital scales will enable you to focus in on a 230 mg. dose more accurately than these metrically gradated scoops that presupposes that 230 mgs. is the correct dose in the first place. If the correct dose is actually 250 mgs. you stand a far better chance of hitting it with these little scoops. Not to mention that it is impossible to remove powder from any scale I have ever seen without a certain amount of wastage. And it takes an insane amount of time if you take as many bulk supplements as I do.In any case many people complain that there are no scoops included with their bulk supplements. It is very hard to find metrically gradated volumetric measuring devices of this quality in 5 sizes from 1 g down to 50 mgs. These are perfect if you are willing to forego the precision of scales. You eventually get a feel for things. Micronized powder measured with these scoops is very close to scales. More granular substances will weigh light but just use a heaping scoopful in that case. At any rate, I never looked back. Recommended with all possible enthusiasm.
