Keep in mind this works really well for a straight extendable ladder but if you have a folding a frame style extendable ladder it will function but doesn't connect quite as easily. I didn't really read the fine print so I'm not taking off any stars because I just assumed it would work great for my Werner extendable a frame Little Giant style ladder but I have to be a little creative and how I connect it with the thicker rungs. It does work and I'm probably going to put it on one of my standard extendable ladders as it will be perfect for that. Only thing I don't love is and this is a problem with the A-frame style I have to take it off to fold up my ladder into its most compact state whereas if it was on a standard I think you could leave it attached and mount it on your car easily.

I don't love heights. I don't often have to go up on a ladder, but when I do, this makes me feel much more comfortable. It adds a good amount of stability, especially when the ladder is 15+ feet up. I can't store my ladder where I had it though, because the stabilizer gets in the way. I'm not going to take it on and off each time, so keep this in mind when purchasing it. Otherwise, I'd rather use a ladder with this than without it any day.

I could not attach this to my ladder since none of the dimensiones worked for the u-bolts. I had to modify the u-bolt by adding threads further down so I could attach to the flat support bar. The legs of my ladder fan out for broad support making it too wide to attach as shown in the stand-off design. It worked great once I made the modifications.

Easy to put together. it would be nice if the instructions had some pictures as I ended up referring back to the stock pics to see how to mount it to my ladder. It works well with extended ladders but not multi-position ones.

This is not at all wide enough for any of the normal extension ladders that I have or have used. I also think it's a stretch to call this "heavy duty". I'll be returning both of them and getting something that fits and that's actually heavy duty.

Does not fit 15" & 16" wide common USA ladders, only 13" wide ladders! I have never seen a ladder that narrow in the USA. Center bracket needs to be adjustable for width. Online description not good. Seems to be made of good materials, though. Too bad it will not fit most ladders.
