This insulation kit is so easy to install. I should have done it years ago. Took about 15 minutes. I used double sided duck tape to secure it into place. Then stapled along the edges inside edges of the attic access. Then done! It fit the attic access perfectly. Light weight but I can already feel the lack of cold air coming from the attic. The design has stiff sides to keep current attic insulation in place so less mess when I open the ladder. Easy access to inside the attic with a sturdy double zipper along 3 of the sides. Definitely worth every cent.

From Amazon door delivery - to installed in attic was exactly .30 minutes. With the incredibly cold air that has invaded the southern U.S., my attic was freezing us out on the second floor of the house. Could not keep heat in and just felt the awful cold air pouring down from attic area, down onto our heads in living quarters. Homemade solutions were not enough and getting expensive.Saw this product - ordered immediately.If you have an attic that is leaking cold air down into your life -Get this product - order it immediately.Do not bother with stapler version - small nails work great. You will need staples or nails to hold in place, or you could just place the cover in the attic opening for immediate help.1. Fast to install2. Cheap and easy3. Lightweight product, easy to work with while on steps4. I could stand under it and feel NOTHING - so warm5. The label confirms block works all year round - heat in for the winter, a/c in for the summer6. Inexpensive, simple way to conserve energy and keep heat where you want it. I was Definately losing heat through the gaps in the attic stair door so I found this and ordered it. Unfolded it and put it in place. Lined it up with corners and stapled it in place. Super super simple. I also used aluminum tape to secure it to frame of door to make sure no gaps were present for heat to escape.

It will help a lot with preventing cold air in winter and hot air in summer from getting sucked out of the attic by the central heat/air unit. Was easy to install. Our attic stairs are probably 60 years old, so they are old style. In closing the door, when the support arms go up, they go up higher than the height of the insulator. I had to cut slots on each side for them to poke through into the attic when the door is closed....which offsets some of the benefit, but not much. Still glad I put it in.

This cover was just the right size for our attic entrance in a 1967 ranch style. It fit perfectly into the corners. The hole measured about 54-1/2 by 25-1/2.There were so many of these covers to choose from for about the same price, and some for significantly more as well. I think that many of them are probably produced in the same China factory and sold under a different brand. I needed one with prime delivery quickly for a weekend installation. This item fit the bill. Took less than 10 minutes to install. Zipper worked smoothly.I did not purchase the stapler as we have an old one that’s been passed down through several generations. I would suggest putting the extra $5 towards a good stapler that you can keep for years to come and use for other projects. The optional ones with these covers look like junk.As others said, I’m also skeptical of the claimed R-value but this cover will definitely be better than having nothing at all. For 24 bucks having one of these is a no-brainer. It’s a shame that I didn’t get one years ago.
