Just what we needed to replace our attic stair hinges. the original hinges were 30 years old and bent beyond repair. These new hinges were way better quality. They functioned just like the old ones.

Although somewhat expensive (shouldn’t be more than $50 at most) it worked like a charm. Bought it to replace on older hinge that had snapped and broke off. Installation was easy and straightforward, took me around 45-60 minutes to install by myself (only replaced one side) New spring adds additional tension that helps the attic door snap close. Definitely recommend for those older attic ladders (mine was installed in ‘89). Overall great purchase, no regrets.

fit and worked fine. May want to have an extra person around to help to center it on lower hole after spring is reattached. The OEM hinge was the most difficult to remove because hinge riveted at factory.

Fits my 1950s attic master perfectly. My inclination is that the slightly different curvature from the stock brackets adds a lot of strength. Could be a bit more accessible to verify what model you need and the linked instructions are great and easy to get to but could be right here in the product page. At the end of the day, I wouldn't mind seeing something a bit more rugged than the old stock brackets available at a decent price today- but these are a solid drop in replacement. Pain to drill out the old brackets but the sawzall recommendation in the video did help and that's not on these guys. Anyway- super happy I don't have to worry about that bent bracket anymore

Installed per the video and seem to fit pretty good. There is a slight difference but pretty close. Hinges seem to be stronger than the old ones that bent. It came with 3" lag screws and thought it said 2" on packing list. There is a lot of tension on those lag screws, so I do hope they are of good quality. I do not see any reviews of them snapping off like I did on some of the other replacement parts available. I did this by myself but would suggest two people if possible. Make sure and check the label on thge stairs themselves.

First off, would have liked to rate as 5 since the hinges are made of heavy metal and match the ones I replaced. Unfortunately, there was a fumble in SAFETY in regards to the 10mm bolts provided to mount plates into frame opening. If you go to the link that is provided in package you will hear the installer say 13mm bolts. One of these bolts snapped on me and fortunately I was not in the way of the spring and hardware. I replaced the bolts with the correct size and you can see the difference in pics. After doing this it has held up fine, but the hinges will not fold easily and you have to slightly pull the riveted hinge points towards you while you're on the ladder in order to push the door back in place from the floor. I am hoping over time they might loosen up. (WD40 applied at all folding points seems to help.) I wish I had been quicker in making this review considering injury could have been possible. Company just needs to ante up to bigger bolts and not try to save a few pennies on hardware.
